"Fantastic Choice on the edge of Casco Viejo. About 1 block of a 'dicey' neighborhood, to get to Plaza Herrera. We did not feel unsafe at all. The restaurant on the first floor is probably the best restaurant in Panama! Aya Vida is spectacular....what a fantastic surprise. Just a bit of constructive criticism: We were two couples, with a two bedroom, 2 bath apartment. There were no toiletries for the 2nd bathroom. "When I arrived, the lady behind the counter didn't speak a word of English (which is ok). But she communicated that my booking was not paid for. The hotel Wifi didn't work so I only had my printed confirmation and couldn't pull up the hotels.com website. I needed Wifi to work due to a Zoom meeting I had late that night, so they arranged for me to stay next door at a cheaper place where the Wifi was better. Apparently the next door place was also owned by the same owner. "
