"Its a comfortable hotel on a very nice stretch of beach- Yalong Bay. The area is not exactly the 'Hawaii of China' as its stated to be. That's overstated. The room was adequate and comfortable and the food prices were exorbitant for what you get. Breakfast also good but very limited Western food."

"The hotel is very stylish and staff is amiable. Nice hotel to stay."

"Snorkeling directly on a coral reef was great. The food was way too expensive so very few seemed to eat at the hotel and ordered food in. The breakfast buffet was top notch!"

"- Wall power sockets were unsafe in 2/3 rooms on the same floor (sparks, burnt the charger, not stick on the wall) - Had to move room without any assistance at 12-1AM on the first night due to the wall sockets (we had to argue to move as well) - No smoke detectors - safety issue - also on a non-smoking floor (there’s definitely people smoking) - Room not cleaned properly - used cups not replaced or cleaned, cleaning staff continually forget to replace used amenities (eg. mosquito repellent) -...

"Beatiful location. Very nice view. Most of the staff was very nice. Eventhough most of them didn't speak english, they were carrying the device to translate. Good food. Just inform properly about amount of spicy. Very good breakfast, several options. Western and asian style."

"Lovely two day stay at the Villa in Sanya, away from any crowds and a nice beachfront mostly to ourselves. Breakfast was quite good even if dinner on-site was more average, but quite close to downtown Sanya so plenty of local dining options within easy reach. Very pleasant little retreat!"

Will like to express my special thanks to the chief concierge Mr Steve Li and his staff My Wang for helping us to arrange all our activities throughout our stay. "The hotel is exactly what one would expect from a non-top-tier IHG property, reasonably priced, clean and not noisy. Dining options are kind of limited, the menu at both restaurants is the same every day with very small variation for the breakfast buffet. Air conditioning in the rooms is top notch - no noise at all, air movement is barely noticeable thanks to oversize vents, the temperature is very even throughout the suite - it was super nice to enter the room from the humid heat outside. Bathrooms are large and well-ventilated. Larger, nicer suites with room-size patios are in the building that is not wheelchair accessible - both levels are accessed only by a flight of stairs. The rest of the hotel has elevators and ramps everywhere. Staff always rushes to help. Tiles around the pool need maintenance, some of them wobble too much. If you want to go to town, you'll need a ride. Rides are available, but not from western ride sharing services, and there aren't many dining options within a short walking distance. The hotel is on the shore, but the beach if very small, right in front of the hotel there's a protected coral reef, so swimming is limited to a small sandy area, that is clean and well-maintained. The sand may feel a little rough for bare feet because of tiny bits of seashells, but that is natural; wear flip-flops and you'll enjoy it. You'll find better than average flip-flops in the closet in your room. Most power outlets in the room are UK 3-prong style"
