"First class hotel. The staff make this place stand out because they are so so lovely. We ate in Loma, La Vista, The Tavern, and had drinks in the Great Scots Bar and they were all brilliant. The only small problem was lack of service on the second time we use the Great Scots Bar. No one brought us a menu or asked us what drinks we wanted. And even after they knew we were there they never came to the table at all that night. But it was a minor issue. Other suggestions are making walks in the estate a little easier to navigate. Very easy to get confused when you’re getting close to Ballach end of the estate. We loved this hotel and will hopefully be back."

"Wonderful hotel in a great location. The bedroom looked lovely, but the bathroom needed significant work. A little love on the tiles and this would have been 5*. Close to the castle and a short walk to local retaurants ."

"Beautiful hotel just down the hill from the castle. Staff was extremely helpful. We were going to leave our bags and explore until check in at 4. I was not feeling well and upon learning that they gave us our room early so I could lie down for which I am extremely grateful."

"Great to have a pool and gym in a hotel at this price. Room was spacious with a nice view. Staff friendly and bar was great with free pool table, shuffleboard, table football etc"
The Oak Tree Inn

"We have been staying at the Oak Tree for many years when visiting Scotland and it is always a great highlight. The staff are always lovely and this trip, Kay really stood out as an exceptional server. She was so friendly and kind and made sure everyone was enjoying their stay. The Oak Tree is lucky to have her!"
Arrochar Hotel

"Beautiful setting. Everything was nice and clean although a bit dated. The food was good. Bed wasn't particularly comfortable but otherwise I'd say that overall it was a good stay. I'd stay there again."
