"Likely one of the best hidden gems in Germany. Exceptional staff and location resulted in a restful and rejuvenating stay. The meals were delicious and prepared with local fresh ingredients. The access to the Black Forest is literally steps away; be it hiking or biking. Flimsy shower curtain can transfer you bathroom into a swimming pool. In case you are wondering, no AC and open windows might provide a lot of information about your fellow hotel guests. "We stayed at the Hotel Hannong for one night so we could tour old town Strasbourg. It was the perfect location. Close to the train station, close to the old city. The staff was amazing-super helpful, very friendly, and there to help in every way. We went to the outdoor lounge for drinks...rather 'rustic', but very pleasant on a warm evening. Our room was lovelt - modern and clean. City was great, two days enough (we even walked to the European Congress and the Parc d'orangerie, quite a distance). "
