Review’s said rooms were small, they were tiny. The paintwork in the bathroom was very amateur, no shower curtain so bathroom was soaked. Duvets had no cover, bedroom had not seen a duster for a long time. A very disappointing hotel, certainly not one I would visit again.

Lovely hotel in old monastery
Lovely surroundings with lovely garden & bar terrace. Staff all friendly. Had a great evening meal which was excellent value. Nice short walk into attractive town.

Unusual place to stay
A querky place to stay. This is an old monastery and the interior is in keeping with that so don't expect a huge room. Our room was very compact as was the shower but was clean and perfectly adequate for an overnight stop. The breakfast and evening meal were both excellent being typical Spanish cuisine. Would definitely stop again. Took a bit of finding. The hotel is on the far side of the monastery as you go out of town.

Room the size of a doll house
We booked a larger room but ended up in a room the size of a closet with the beds on the floor. I think the ceiling height was about 7' so the whole room felt very claustrophobic. Even thought this is a historic Monetary it is not possible to call these rooms a "hotel rooms".

Beautiful hotel..we loved it
Fabulous hotel. Very historic with wonderful walks nearby and on the edge of a lovely town. Bathroom a little challenging, sizewise, but wonderfully quirky.

Property in good location, with nice grounds. Good cafeteria and restaurant with inexpensive prices. Rooms are small but clean. Beds are on a mezzanine with the bathroom on the lower floor. This may be inconvenient for some.

A great experience on its own!
An amazing location amongst the old walls of churches and stone buildings. Absolutely astonishing and a great restaurant too.

Stylishly modernised hotel in former monastery
Take a lovely stone building, stylishly modernise into comfortable rooms and suites, and populate the hotel with friendly staff. That's apparently the formula used here and I enjoyed my stay tremendously.

A huge warm welcome.
Arrived after a long 22hrs ferry trip. Chose this place as a stopover on route to Portugal. Perfect location one hour from Santender. Couldn’t believe this was the hotel when presented with medieval courtyard. Great hospitality, warm, friendly & nothing too much trouble. Adapted the menu for me as a vegetarian. Unusual room design climbing stairs to beds in mezzanine so need to be fit’ish. Would visit again.

A quiet off-the-beaten-track hotel
A beautiful old building nicely adapted and well run. Located in a quiet spot and with access to the village and a good river walk to a nearby dam. Food was excellent and the service attentive and pleasant.

Lo mejor el edificio y el entorno. No también, las habitaciones (al menos la nuestra) necesita un poco de actualización (mantenimiento): puerta de entrada no cierra si no es con la llave, grifo del baño se "movía"...

En general, la Posada es un lugar acogedor, muy cuidado y con buenos servicios. La habitación muy limpia y tranquila, algo incómodo subir y bajar a las camas.

No volveríamos. No es de recibo el Dúplex.
Es una pena y me disgusta hablar mal de un sitio, pero lo del Dúplex no tiene disculpa. En realidad es una mini habitación con un altillo donde la cama arriba solo la pudimos utilizar uno porque si el otro, que estaba al lado de la pared, quería bajar al baño, tenía que hacerlo por encima de la otra persona. La escalera complicada y peligrosa, y el baño tan pequeño que no podíamos ni movernos, y eso que no medimos más de 1,70. El personal amable y el sitio bonito pero la habitación es deplorable y me molesta que no te avisen de como es.

Hemos estado muy a gusto. El trato del personal de recepción muy amable y servicial. La limpieza de las habitaciones y del conjunto de las estancias buena. La Posada tiene un patio interior de césped, con mesas y sillas cómodas que invitan a la lectura al aire libre y la tertulia con una cervecita.

La television solo se ve desde la cama, osea que tienes que subir al "2 piso" si quieres estar viendola, no tiene aire acondicionado y si hace calor lo pasas un poco mal.
