"Unfortunately I found a cockroach as I was going to the bathroom in the middle of the night which I guess happens in the middle of the desert but when we checked out I showed a picture of it to the person introducing himself as one of the managers, all I got was Thank you for Letting us know. No apologies at all. Luckily it was me seeing the suite’s pet and not my wife.
The place is not like any other Ritz-Carlton we have stayed at. We have stayed over 50 nights in the Ritz in the past 4 years in 3 different countries. It is run down and in desperate need of renovation."
"The staff was accommodating with allowing mevto have a late check out. Rooms are simple and clean. Nice ammeties however tje gym opens at 9am which preferably is late especially for hotels. I do think morning staff can work on their communication. I had questions regarding my stay and I was not taken seriously and dismissed. The evening staff however was wonderful. Excellent location."
"Amazing resort . From the moment i entered the place i knew it was going to be good . Pool area a knockout ! Massive infinity pool overlooking the sea , with swim up bar . Pool was very warm so very inviting. Large steps i to the pool so small kids can play on the steps as well as lovely kids area with water slides and sprinklers. Kid heaven ! Open sir restaurant right next to pool overlooking the sea and pool . Great service from staff . Sea was warm in march and water clear in the mornings . Island rock with good snorkeling. Morning time calmer and clearer water .
What’s not to like ? I’ll be back ! "
Al Khayma Camp "Elite Glamping & Dining in Experience"
4/10 Poor
"I felt misled.
I think it’s important to note if you are booking this for an overnight stay, that you will be sharing your meal and most of your time with the couple hundred tourists that come on buses for the attraction and leave after the shows.
As we were the only overnight guests staying on the property it would have been a nice consideration for having our table called among the first for the buffet. As it was we sat there starving and were among the last tables called even though we were a table of two. A different table near us got up and went back for a second serving before we were even served!! The food was adequate, the humanity of people at the buffet was rude and pathetic. Very chaotic. By this point we didn’t even want to watch the entertainment after dinner.
The overall experience was fine for a roadside attraction but I wouldn’t have booked an overnight stay if I had known what the situation would be. That the toilets are not only shared by “campers” but shared with everyone who attends that camp should be reconsidered. No thank you to showering there.
Excellent site for photos, the camp itself is very nice. The tents are well appointed and very nice but your suitcases and belongings are unsecured to anyone present in the camp (all these hundreds of bus tourists) which wasn’t very comfortable.
The camp is very clean and the staff are very kind.
Wouldn’t call this ‘Elite’ or necessarily ‘glamping’ the experience was interesting though. "
