"Had a wonderful time here at Akumal Bay! Beautiful view from our oceanfront room and the staff were lovely. It really did feel like a peaceful retreat compared to other AI’s. Everything was clean and the food was good. Unfortunately, there was a lot of seaweed. Not really anything the resort can do other than clean it, but this did take away from the beauty of the beach. Also the Latin dance classes! My husband and I had hoped for a couples class but it was more of a Zumba class. Would be nice to include a couples Latin dance class:) "
