The only good thing about this hotel is its proximity to Golden Temple. Room and bathroom were untidy and they smelled! TV did not work for some reason plus there was no remote control. After awhile I got both; working TV and remote. No shampoo. I had no choice to go somewhere else so I decided to stay; thank God one night only.

Location right next to the Golden Temple is about the only thing really going for this place and view of temple from "Executive Room", which was smaller than expected and did not match the larger "Executive Room" photos shown on Hotels.com website when I booked it. AC was great when it worked (had a brief issue once which was corrected quickly as it was a 100+ degree day). Other than that a multitude of issues made for a less than pleasant stay. Upon check into room, fridge didn't work but wasn't fixed/replaced until late the second day after mentioning it 3 times. Also, constant WiFi issues. Initally signal was extremely weak and couldnt connect at all. Had to retrieve new password everytime after leaving the property as it seemed to reset every time I left to go to the temple/Wagah border, etc. Very annoying. Room was not cleaned at all and water bottle not replenised either despite it being 110 degrees out. Being an American from a cold climate that would have been appreciated. Was hoping for some kind of % off or refund given at checkout (also had trouble booking a can for airport) for a wide array of issues but ultimately none was given. No comment on bk as I didn't eat there. All in all wouldn't recommend staying here other than for location only.

Perfect location for Golden Temple lovers
The hotel is a perfect location because it is right by the Harimandir Sahib/Golden Temple and you can even get a room with a view to the temple which is totally worth the extra few bucks. For India standards the hotel is good. The staff is really nice and helpful. The room was OK, the bathroom felt dirty to me but that is how India is but I'd you ask the staff to clean it they will definitely do it. It has A/C which is vital in India. For me the reason this hotel is valuable is because it has a perfect location if you want to visit the Golden Temple every day. Plus if you get a room with a view to the temple you can even decide when to go to it depending on how short or long the line is to enter the Golden Temple. The hotel is also close to many stores and the new main road with yummy dhabas.

False promises by Hotel Sapphire Amritsar.
False promises of discounted rates by hotel staff to lure me to stay, I am never coming back or recommending the hotel to anyone ever again.

Cet avis est totalement sans fondement. le client n'a pas vérifié lors de la réservation que les radiateurs sont payants et blâme maintenant la propriété pour quelque chose que le client aurait dû lire lors de la réservation de l'hébergement en premier lieu. Oui, nous facturons les radiateurs, mais c'est votre souhait de payer ou non. nous ne forçons personne.
