Check in was a mess. The room was not set up. Room was too small. Really did not like the area. Best part about the area was that it was convenient to the train back to the airport, which is why we selected this property in the first place.

Nicely appointed and furnished room with modern and spacious bathroom. Located centrally; we walked from the train station Centraal. Dining and shopping abound with a mix of vintage clothing and local stores, close to bike rentals and the canals. Noisy as night approaches due to the nearby restaurants and pubs. Felt safe. Our family of four enjoyed our stay here. Slippers would have been a nice touch.

We had a family room 205 which looks over the backyards, not the street, so it was very quiet. Plenty of room for the 3 of us. Nice espresso machine and a kettle but the small fridge didn’t work well. Large bathroom with heated floors 😁. Front staff was very helpful. Good location for restaurants. About 15 minutes to the Central station. Was pleased with the stay.

I had another fantastic stay at The Bank Hotel in Amsterdam. The staff was amazing - so attentive and hospitable. The location is in a wonderful neighborhood - right in the canal belt. The street and area have great restaurants, bars, shopping, etc. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay in Amsterdam!

For its genre of funky local property, this one is tops. It's super clean, has a great shower and fixtures, and helpful staff. What annoyed me is the way you enter the place. First, yes, there's a sign identifying the place as the Bank Hotel -- but the entry itself is not marked, so you kinda have to guess which door and what to do. They say the city forbids them to modernize the exterior in order to identify the entry. But I'll bet there's a creative solution out there. OK fine, deal with it. And then, when I came back late one night, freezing and dripping wet (bring your umbrella), no one answered the bell I'd been told to ring. Quite some time went by and finally I saw someone inside and knocked on the window. The guy said why didn't you wave your room key over the lock (in a needlessly mocking tone, I thought) to open the door. You know why? Nobody told me it worked like that! In the dark it sure doesn't look like a hotel lock. But -- other than the entrance situation, I really liked this place and would stay here again. I liked it better than my friend's room at the Hilton.

The hotel was okay but loud. You could hear the noise from the street all night and early morning. If you're a light sleeper, go somewhere else.

The Bank Hotel is a excellent small hotel at a great price perfect for a short stay. It was very clean and the junior studio we stayed in (4 adults) was roomy and pleasant. It looked recently renovated. The Bath was large and had enough towels for all. Everything worked. Bed were comfortable. The staff downstairs was super pleasant and helpful. We arrived very early so left our luggage in their little shared luggage room and it was fine. There is an elevator (small but did the job). The area is great. lots of shops and restaurants and not too far from old town. Lots to do (but watch out for the bicyclist LOL). We only stayed one night before returning home to US. Once at the airport we realized my sister had left her iPad in the room. We quickly called and they found it. We didn't have time to pick it up or even go out to wait for a taxi to bring it to us so we asked them to ship it (from Amsterdam to California) to us. They shipped it that day. A week later it arrived in great shape. Such helpful and nice people. Thanks again.

This is a boutique hotel in a good location, walkable from the central station. Our room was small but adequate for our purposes. We did not eat at the hotel but a restaurant is attached.

Not easy to find the entrance as it doesn't look like hotel's entrance at all. Room was not well lighted as most of the ceiling lights didn't work. The kettle's inside looked like no one cleaned it for months. Considerably convenient location, room was quiet if facing backside.

Very friendly & helpful staff! The hotel is spotlessly clean and has lovely amenities. The bathroom in the family room was luxurious with both a long tub and a shower. This is not an accessible hotel, and the step out the front door is a doozy, but they have an elevator

A pleasant stay! We found the room to be more spacious than anticipated, the room was well lit, clean and comfortable. The staff were always friendly when we were coming and going. It was a very convenient location for walking everywhere, including the train station.

Great location just a 15 minute walk from Amsterdam's main train station in a neighborhood with lots of unique shops and plenty of food options. Easy walk to the Dam and other central locations in the city. My single room was larger than I expected (still small!) with a spacious bathroom. Very clean. Very important, if you visit in summer: the room had air conditioning! And the building has an elevator. The furniture is a bit tired, but the bed was comfortable.

Great hotel! The staff are super friendly and helpful. The room we booked is clean and relatively big. Amsterdam Centraal station is a close walking distance. I'm glad we were able to drop off our luggage for safekeeping as we explore the city first before our check in time. Will definitely recommend!

Fantastic location. Hotel really lovely. Just a few little housekeeping issues. Thick dust in some places and waste around tea/coffee are from past guests. Other than that would highly recommend.

A wonderful hotel
Had an absolutely amazing 3 night stay here. I had booked a deluxe room but was lucky enough to be upgraded to the penthouse room which had stunning views over Amsterdam. It's a quiet hotel, central enough to be convenient but felt more out of the way and peaceful. Easy to reach on foot from Central Station. Staff very friendly and informative. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.
