Beach Resorts in Angoulins

"Perfect location in the old port of LaRochelle. We hired an Uber driver from the train station. The area is pedestrian only, for the most part. This hotel is literally surrounded by restaurants and gelato shops. There is a market right across the walk way, and the view of the towers is spectacular. All the sights are an easy, pleasant walk. We walked to the Ferris wheel. Our room was comfortable. The ceiling above the bed is beautiful. It looks like fabric. We were on the fourth floor. We used the stairs except for when we were bring our luggage up. Air conditioning worked well. The included breakfast was plentiful. Great variety of breads, meats, hard boiled eggs and cheeses with several fresh fruit options. We ordered fried eggs and they were cooked perfectly. The breakfast lady spoke English well and was friendly and cheerful. The front desk people were pleasant and helpful. It was a bit more challenging to understand them, but we did, and everything was fine. They ordered a taxi for us to Ile De Re. The walk to meet the taxi was about two blocks. We travel lightly. Only carry on wheelie bags and a backpack. Dealing with the pedestrian only aspect was not a problem for us. If we had big luggage it would have been challenging. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again. "

"Our stay was good. The hotel is located in a very quiet neighborhood, which is great for people with kids. Yet there where lots of shops nearby and its not a far walk to the main town area. "

"Our room was 004. Reception did not speak English and made no attempt to understand anything. One of the doors to the car park could not be locked as it had been forced and part of the frame was missing, this meant anyone could enter the passages to rooms. Room 004: window restraint was missing so we could not open window safely. The shower head was broken, could not raised, the soap dispenser in the shower was loose. The wc seat was broken. The soap dispenser by the sink was on the floor having been pulled off the wall- hence NO soap by the sink. Bulb missing over the sink making it difficult with limited light. I have already contacted Hotels.com auto talk and told this will be looked at. The pool was very nice I have stayed at the Hotel some years ago but will not be staying again. The whole hotel needed a refresh, including the very poor buffet breakfast. Nothing could compare with a B&B Hotel!!!!"

"These hotels does what it says on the tin . Offers cheap accommodation for stop over . Rooms are clean but need updating . WiFi worked a dream . Down side was the shower nearly hanging off the wall and had to hold in my one had whilst I showered . "
