"This very pretty budget option is a hidden gem. The greenery at the property and the warm lighting gives this cosy vibes. Basic amenities like AC, a clean bathroom and a TV were available. Most importantly, travelling as a solo female, I never felt unsafe. It's a stone's throw away from the beach. I liked it so much here that I decided to extend my stay here by a day. The staff are professional and courteous.

"To my shock, when I walked into the Hotel, with my Expedia booking, the Hotel staff told me that they do not accept any Online bookings as they had stopped honoring any online bookings about 3 months back. I then had to call Expedia for a full Refund and then take this hotel via in-person booking, Luckily Room was still available and I was able to check-in after about an hour of delay. "In a great location and jumping-off point for everything we wanted to see and do in Chennai, the Maroma Suites is immaculately clean and comfortable and offers good breakfasts.
But the real delight of this hotel is senior manager Mr Thiru and his truly excellent team!
Together with office manager Sandya, he solved and organised so much for us.
Special mention must also go to Shiva. He took us on a great sight-seeing tour one day, and then at dawn the next morning, along Marina Beach to see the fishing boats coming back in.
We had a wonderful stay!"
