I especially appreciated that it’s a small hotel with only a few rooms, located in a quiet residential neighborhood. The area felt safe, walkable, and very pleasant. "This was our 5th stay here - a true hidden gem... simple rooms, but spotless. The front desk gent (manager? owner?) is a total class act - very much cares for his guests, looks after them - a true delight. There are large and small rooms - the small ones overlook the parking area to the rear, and are quieter; the larger ones overlook Judah St and the street cars/MUNI - we personally love its sounds: shades of Manhattan. We've stayed at a couple other nearby places - but the Ocean Inn is by far far our go to place. How about a 12 on a scale of 10? :-) x100 "
