Generally has a nice vibe and the staff are nice. Was able to store my bag there for a few days. I could hear people talking in both rooms I stayed in. The grounds are nice enough but just outside the gate is a rutted dirt road. Just a short drive off the highway. There's a money changing place and ATM at a nearby gas station.

We have Expedia Gold status. With Expedia Gold you qualify for room upgrades in some properties. When we checked into the Tulia Hotel we received a downgrade. The room was at the back of the hotel as be felt claustrophobic. It was in poor disrepair. It had no nightables. It was small with little room to move around the bed. We asked for another room and to the hotels credit they did give us another room but not until the next day. The new room was a huge improvement over the previous room. My issue is that we should not have had to ask to move. If you are looking at the Tulia Hotel be aware that there are no safes in the rooms. This is a huge inconvenience. You will need to bring your valuables with you on any excursions. We had several items go missing including 2 rings and headphones. Let me be clear that I am not saying these items disappeared at the Tulia Hotel, however they did disappear sometime between arriving at the Tulia Hotel and the second day of the next Hotel, Riu Jambo Zanzibar. I only pont this out so people are aware prior to booking with the Tulia as this is a important consideration. The area around the Tulia Hotel is not very nice. The hotel does have a decent restaurant with good food however. For the type of hotel it is I think it is overpriced. Overall I wouldn't recommend Tulia Hotel

The Tulia was a sweet little oasis in the hustle-bustle of Arusha. The sense of serenity is felt upon walking through the gate.

The Tulia is an affordable version of the big tourist resorts we used while on safari. We stayed there a total of 5 nights before and after our safari, used their airport transport (safe and efficient), ate many meals in their restaurant, and enjoyed the relaxing, shady and green property. Serves a lot of Americans, but also lots of other international guests, good company to compare travel notes. Staff is warm, friendly, eager to meet individual needs, and speaks plenty of good English,

I love the location in a fascinating, very Tanzanian neighborhhod where we felt very safe walking. It's a great value for the price. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant is simple but very hood.

Clean, quiet hotel. Friendly staff. Pool was a nice extra even though very cold. We were here on the 31st of December would have been fun to have a small party like to welcome the new year. Other than that all wonderful.

Nice place. Extremely friendly staff!!! Very helpful to arrange taxis/drivers from airport and to downtown for some shopping. Stayed here as a stop/starting point for Safari. Nice to relax and the restaurant has good options as well- to include for vegetarians (always a positive)

I have stayed at the Tulia Boutique Hotel and Spa several times and always return because I like the ambiance and friendliness of the staff. This is a great place to stay and the onsite restaurant is good with a variety of menu choices. The Tulia Hotel and Spa is a good value, and I will definitely stay here during my next visit to Arusha.

Wonderful hotel! Must nicer from what I was expecting. The restaurant and pool area are beautiful and relaxing. Service and breakfast was great. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Great stay!

The room was very nice and bed very comfy. The staff was very friendly. The area surrounding was under heavy construction. The wifi was constantly in and out and there was a huge water issue resulting in having none for an extended time period. They were apologetic but made no offer or concession for a very big problem for guests.

Beautiful, small boutique hotel! Great value. Wonderful staff. Made my mother feel like a member of their family and it was a pleasure to just hang out with my mother in their attractive lobby and grounds while my partner was on Safari. Beds were very comfortable and breakfast was served with a smile. Wonderful Staff!!

One thing about Tulia is its proximity to all amenities, The staff is exceptionally friendly, felt so much at home. I booked for one night but ended up extending my stay. The girl at the bar was very nice we had a crazy night but she offered my fiance a pool bed to relax as we awaited our host..The Samosa were out of this world..I will however recommend real sausages for breakfast and not hot dogs. Overall Nice job!

The staff was amazing. The room was spacious and clean. The grounds are pretty and well kept. The access road from the main road is unpaved and cluttered with stalls. A 3-5 dollar cab ride takes to town. Could use an in-room safe

Tulia hotel good value for money
Very pleasant hotel hidden not too far behind the back streets of bustling Arusha. Lovely gardens and welcoming pool and very comfortable rooms. Service was impeccable, staff very friendly and helpful. Walking distance to town and markets but easy to catch a taxi either hotel or from main road. Really enjoyed our stay at the tulia

Great staff, willing to help with anything. Great food! Hotel is in middle of remodeling so there was a lot of noise during the day. If you are looking for a place to walk about, this is NOT the place. Not near any tourist interest points. Taxis can take you, though.

Super Friendly Staff
Super friendly and accommodating staff. The management was great in helping to arrange everything from massage to taxis to dinners to a Serengeti Safari. Rooms a little threadbare, but very clean. As I am visiting during low season, there appears to be work being done to upgrade facilities. Not high end luxury, but clean, comfortable and accommodating. Great choice.

The rooms were large, clean and well furnished and the pool lovely. The staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful at all times, but restaurant service was a little slow and confusing. The hotel is a short taxi ride away from the centre of Arusha. It was a calm oasis after our safari.

Nice hotel before a safari
The Tulia was a good place to stay before we left on Safari. The hotel staff was friendly and courteous. We were transported from the airport by our driver, Adrien, and he also guided around Arusha the following day. I highly recommend hiring a driver rather than walking around the streets alone. The rooms were clean and comfortable, a great place.

Bodde här innan och efter safari. För detta ändamål fungerar hotellet bra. Extremt vänlig och serviceminded personal. Bra utbud i restaurangen till överkomliga priser. Hotellet i sig är slitet men rent! Kommer bra med vatten ur duschen som är riktigt varmt och skönt! Tyvärr väldigt dåliga madrasser, man känner fjädringen när man sover i den och poolen är iskall, men syftet med detta hotell är ju inte direkt sol och bad tycker jag. Är gated och inhägnat så tryggt och bo där.

Both a professional and friendly hotel, and a very nice welcome after several days on safari. With spacious rooms with comfortable beds and a cosy lounge, and a beautiful breakfast room with a chef making omelettes. I was particularily happy over the fact that I was allowed a late check out, because the only thing I didn´t like was the very early check-out time at 10. The area where the hotel is situated is not the nicest, and I didnt feel like taking a stroll in the neighbourhood. But this is still a very nice and very good hotel option in Arusha. Everything worked and I just felt very welcome.
