"Convenient and comfortable for a 1-night stay prior to early departure from LHR Terminal 5 the following day. Check-in took far longer than on previous visits.The queue snaked back to the hotel entrance doors and there were only 2 check-in "desks" open. A taxi - which turned out to be a "private transfer" - was arranged for the following morning. It came on time but then took a very circuitous route to Terminal 5. The cost (ยฃ15) was probably in line with standard charges but would not have been justified for a more direct route."

"It is a beautiful property- and currently undergoing some renovations- but that didnโ€™t get in our way at all. Being an old building we expected it to not be perfect. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean in all the ways that matteredโ€ฆ bed, bathroom, floors. The room could use a deeper cleaning - some areas were dusty. But overall we enjoyed the stay here. Beds were comfortable and soft."
