"Wonderfully modern and clean home. The best part was the restaurant next door and the private Onsen soaring tub. They provide a number toiletries as a convenience if you didn’t bring any. The mini splits do take time to warm up the home, but once they do it is very comfortable. "
"I really liked the onsen and the in room onsen. The property area seems kind of dangerous if it snows but it’s in a nice somewhat secluded place. Wish it had mover of a view from my room when using the in room onsen."
"We loved the Japanese tradition of this hotel. The location was beautiful and beside a golf course. The onsen was stunning. The location was a bit tricky but busing and tacos are options to head into Gora for restaurants. "
"Exceptional traditional ryokan if you want to relax in Hakone & Yugawara! The thoughtfulness and service of the staff was wonderful in every aspect. Rooms were supplied with traditional robes, comfortable sleepwear, onsen on our terrace and hot spring baths. Kaiseki cuisine was delicious, plentiful and presentation was over the top. This is a beautiful facility with an excellent staff. If you want to experience Japanese culture at its finest you need to come here. Our 4 day visit was perfect...
"The amenities and rooms were very clean, staff were all very friendly and helpful. The overall ambience gave a traditional Japanese vibe but with a modern touch."
"Very nice place for vacation, clean and spacious. It’s raining so we couldn’t enjoy in balcony.
Also very nice bath tub! Very good maintenance, things like new."

"It’s just a really great experience staying at this hotel. They have thought of a lot of little extras from free ice cream at the reception. Welcome drinks. Someone takes you to your room and shows you around. The gardens are beautiful. The buffet was delicious. And the Onsen room was.fantastic. "
"The private onsen and the mt Fuji view was unbelievable! Right by a bus stop and a convenience store right across the street. Very spacious, 10/10 would highly recommend "
"Oh wow! I am so glad the reviews did not fail me. My husband and I just left this morning and it was an amazing and much needed relaxing stay in the middle of our busy trip! Staff was super kind. We did the dinner and breakfast and it was very traditional Japanese cuisine - delicious. We were blown away by our room it was HUGE! I booked the private bath in our room and that was a nice touch. We got off at Odawara station and took an uber/taxi to the ryokan. It was maybe $60 USD but in my opinion worth it over the bus!! I hope we can come back here one day. It was awesome. "
"Onsen was excellent and food is great. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and spoke English well. The massages offered are also a great find and great for couples. It was super convenient, as they come straight to your room. They offer taxi drop off to Odawara station so just ask. "
"Amazing place by the lake with excellent views. Room was a good size with a sofa and a balcony overlooking the lake. Very peaceful, near the two gondolas and Hakone Shrine."
"Mr. Mack is very accommodating, shares knowledge of Japan, guided us with traditional Japanese etiquette, food was good, water from Mt. hakone is better than the bottled water! 😀 place is bus accessible, close to the boats, this place is clean, and hospitable."
