"The stay at Maya was nice and the area was beautiful. The Villas are very peaceful as well as the whole property. There is a nice calm feeling at this resort as it feels secluded even though it is very close to the downtown Ubud area. The live performances at dinner were a fun addition; if that be the traditional dancing at the main restaurant or the band doing cover songs at the bar. We are giving Maya 4 stars rather than 5 because a lot of the amenities stopped between 5 and 7 which created multiple inconvenient experiences on trip. For example, the tram is a great amenity that takes guests to downtown Ubud but it only runs from 9am to 5pm. This is such an early time to be shutting down this amenity. In addition the pools and spa close at 7pm which seems very early. Regardless of the amenities, this was a very nice resort to have some calm and just be."

"Our experience at Tejaprana was incredible. When we arrived at the property we were warmly welcomed. The check-in process was smooth and everyone was genuinely kind. It was very evident through our stay that the staff is treated well and had high spirits. The food selection was great, especially because they had many vegan options. Everyone made us feel like we were family rather than a guest and it showed in many kind ways. We are looking forward to staying at this hotel again."

"Amazing rooms and pools. In middle of jungle, so very sedate. Suits most, but if you like walking out to a restaurant, you’re out of luck. You need a cab to get in to Ubud Staff very friendly and kind. Slow at breakfast and they ran out of beer in restaurant. I’d still give it a 9/10 though. It’s beautiful and relaxing. "

"This is a very weird place. The design is odd in general. It’s a bit run down. Huge parts of it seem to be in process of demolition. On one hand, it’s a ghost town. It does not seem like very many of the rooms or suites are inhabited. Yet the place is also teeming with Russians- and the stereotypes are true, Russians are, in general, cold and often come across as rude. This hotel catches this vibe. The price we paid was amazingly cheap. But did not include access to the gym. Access to the gym and recover for a couple is significant. I think it cost almost as much as our room did for the 3 days we were there. Would I stay here again? No, but it wasn’t an automatic no. I had to think about it. The rate was suuuper cheap. But nah. I’d rather pay a little more elsewhere and escape the weird architecture/ design and cold vibes. "

"Beautiful resort with stunning pool by the forest. Rooms are exceptionally clean and beautiful with greenery views. Service is beyond excellent. The resort upgraded to another room immediately because the AC was not cold enough. They also checked my room before i left and found i had left items behind. Food is limited but i always took the free shuttle service to the main town for meals at the restaurants. I absolutely recommend this resort for quiet jungle holiday away from the noise. The staff is simply fanastic. "
