I would think twice
My room looked nothing like the photos. Honestly I felt like I was in a hostel. The shower didn’t have a handle holder so you couldn’t shower without holding the nozzle, the twin bed was very basic and carpet in bad shape.

Hotel definitely needs a renovation. Room was clean but old carpets and old appliances need an upgrade. On the 3rd day of our stay around 3 pm we were informed that due to some broken pipe down the street hotel has no water and that hopefully it will be fixed soon. We woke up next day to find out that we still have no water and at that point every hotel guest was frustrated. It is obvious that this was not hotel fault, however there was no management on site to be found and reception had to deal with every upset guest without any support. We were looking to change the hotel as we still had one more night at Congo Palace, when by noon water came back.

My stay at this hotel was marked by an absolute lack of water — no shower, no flushing toilet, no sink water. Apparently a city pipe had burst and they couldn’t predict when it would be repaired. I understand that this was a crisis outside the hotel’s control. What I don’t understand was their total lack of customer service and efforts to assist guests. They were inflexible with the pool hours — unwilling to allow water-starved guests to enter the pool before 10:30 am. They offered bottled water, but only provided two bottles per room — hardly enough for a sponge bath. No buckets of water for toilet flushing. Asked about compensation for the inconvenience, the answer was “none.” Then they proceeded to collect 3 Euros additional tax upon check out. No offer of complimentary breakfast, partial refund, credit toward future stays, etc. Do not stay at this hotel. While the water will eventually be restored, their total lack of appreciation for customer service will surely manifest itself in other ways. And, as noted in an earlier review the attractive lobby is misrepresentative of the shabby, tired rooms upstairs. The staff members were pleasant and polite, but obviously controlled by an owner and managers with no understanding of effective business practices.

We had the loveliest stay at the Congo palace. I came for a conference but bought my toddler with me. Thé hôtel is beautiful, well located, very clean and modern. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. We could not have asked for a better hotel. Thank you to all the lovely staff!

Good location if you want to visit Glyfada. Beach is close but very poor in terms of facilities. Hotel is super tired and old. Location has nearby abandoned buildings. Rooms are ok and clean but dated. I felt super disappointed when I pulled up to the property and robbed, certainly not worth the asking price. Get on google maps and view the actual property, this was my mistake.

Glyfada Shopping.
We booked the hotel for the last 2 days of our Greek adventure before travel back to the UK. The hotel is in a good location for walking to Glyfada's shops, restaurants and beaches. Hotel to Athens airport is a direct 30 min drive. The staff in the hotel where friendly and helpful during our stay. We had a basic twin room. Over Looking the pool. Our room was clean. The hotel room is in need of refurbishment . The bathroom is functional, however in need of moderation. The hotel has cvd regulations in place Taking all of the above into consideration, we would stay here again.

The photos on the website of this hotel are very deceiving. Upon arrival, the rooms looked NOTHING like they were featured on the website. The floors were completely dirty and stained (to the point where I wouldn't dare think of taking off my shoes), there was a musty mildew odor in the room, the desk in the room was not clean and had a sticky film over it to the point that when sitting down, my forearms stuck to the table, the upholstery of the furniture was ripped, there were blatant jagged chips alongside some of the furniture in the room, cracks on the walls and outside of front door, the bathroom floor and bathtub looked like it was not cleaned in over a week with stains and hair on the floor, there was a dead bug in the bathroom, so clearly this room was not examined properly. The front desk was not accommodating nor was willing to help us improve our situation; therefore, we had no other choice but to leave, same day, and find another hotel. This experience was absolutely unacceptable, especially coming from a 4-star hotel charging the rate that they charge. I would assimilate the rooms that were given to us to the likes of a run-down hostel or dorm.

I loved this hotel and really enjoyed my stay. The staff was so incredibly frinedly and helpful with suggestions on great places to to eat and to get daily errands done. They were always there to help with anything I needed help with and were always so plesant and kind about it! Hotel was also very very clean. I highly recommend Congo Palace!

The hotel is ideally located however there is no blackout in the rooms ! The sun shines early in Greece and you wanna sleep in or not wake up with the sunrise then maybe it’s not the best place to Stay! And the first two days the room was not cleaned up !
