Sandman Signature St. John's Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Staff were very helpful and friendly. It was convenient having the kitchenette. I would have liked the living room area to be a bit brighter. A little frightened by the wildfires but out of the hotel’s control. "
"We loved our room looking out over the harbour. I liked that we could open our window for fresh air. The decor seemed new and fresh and suited the area. Bed was comfortable too. "
"I stayed at the Ramada Inn during the Canada, summer games. I rented an E bike to go to the venues to go encourage the athletes. The hotel let me park my bike in my room, which was very much appreciated.
Staff was very hard-working and helpful, the room was very clean. I appreciated the small fridge as I could purchase some food at the nearby Sobeys or Walmart. Also, the restaurant downstairs was handy for takeout or room service."
"This is a really fun hotel, and the lavish rooms were amazing! The staff, especially the concierge at the door were truly wonderful- chatty and friendly, with great & helpful recommendations. We did valet parking which was great, but means I can’t speak to the ease of self parking. The location is ok- it’s easily walkable to all the sites on Water street etc. Just a heads up, there is a shelter very close so there are a higher number of unhoused people around the area, however at no point did we ever feel unsafe (travelling with senior parents and our kids), and no one ever bothered us- but we were also not out walking in the evenings. Would 100% stay here again."
"Loved everything about this property, design, cleanliness, location, view…but the most Amazing aspect is the staff! Every single staff member was kind, helpful, friendly, and made sure you had a great experience here. A few standout, namely Bailey who offered us a complimentary upgrade, suggested great restaurants when on-site options were not available, and booked a taxi, and always graciously. Lauren and David were also very helpful in rebooking an additional night’s stay and canceling taxi reservations when our flight out of St John’s was cancelled. Cleaning staff and dining staff also always very professional and courteous. Best hotel in every way! "
