"Stayed 2 nights whilst hiking the Ridgeway and surrounding areas - a great base for getting to the amazing surrounding areas. The pub was very friendly with a friendly welcome and a pleasant bar. There are lots of good food options in Marlborough although I ended up eating in the pub both nights as the food was very reasonably priced and very tasty and with a good selection of beers on tap. The room was comfortable and clean although quite dated and it was quite noisy until late as it was above the bar. The shower worked well and there was ample supply of tea bags and milk. It was easy to leave early in the morning as there is a fire escape that can be used for out of hours exit."

"Excellent breakfast and good WiFi connection. The central location is perfect for the visiting the town. I received a very informative arrival text detailing everything, including parking advice. The room was very comfortable. Be aware this is a very old building, the single pain glass does not block much of the road noise and it was quite chilly in the room overnight. However, this didn’t ruin my stay, I would consider staying again. "

" Public areas were good but hotel areas less so, the corridors were a bit dated but my room was very shabby, noisy, above public toilets with hand driers loud and constant, outside was the courtyard area with loud music and people talking loudly. Plus the fumes from cigarettes/vapes coming through the sash single glazed windows. After a long hard day it was not what I wanted or needed. Informed staff member on leaving but they took no details nor said they would inform the manager"
