"Really like this place easy to find easy parking lovely park and lake next door dinner and breakfast was good and really dog friendly in the pub and accommodation we are going back as it's a really good base to visit the surrounding areas "

"My mum and I had an amazing experience here. Such a quaint little English lodging. Exceptional dinner and solid breakfast the next morning. Everyone was so friendly! Jo had fantastic knowledge of the area and sent us on a cute walk to meet some local bees! Special shout out to Barney the cute doggo! If we ever make it back to England we will definitely be back! "One night business stay, Rural location, unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t open but they offered a slim down evening meal menu which was adequate for one night , very nice breakfast cooked fresh with , helpful owners nice quirky building with a nice history. "

"I stay there a lot when flying into or out of Heathrow. It's very convenient. The staff are always nice and parking is good and central. Then of course, it's super convenient for the prehistoric stone circle at Avebury and also a good place for Stonehenge. If you want a modern place, this isn't for you, but if you don't mind things being 17th Century,maybe it is."

"Great place to stay and relax.Only 50 min from Bath. Hotel has all you need,quiet,green area,lovely garden with tables and chairs to have a glass of wine and enjoy the view. Hotel offers breakfast but quite pricey for what you get on a plate... Other than that,highly recommended "

"There is parking behind the waitrose and staff walked us there after their shift had ended to ensure we understood the parking App since tomorrow is the Farmers Market on High Street and we would have to move the vehicle early. Now it’s all sorted and paid in advance. Of course it’s an older hotel and everything is crooked and settled, but you should come here for that eclectic experience, as we did. I just miss the old mural that was painted in the pub before, replaced by a more modern map. "

It’s just fine if you don’t need WiFi or shower

"The staff was very friendly but I have to admit the internet even at times when I could connect was so weak, I couldn’t even access my emails. The shower has a power saver machine on it but the problem is the hot water cycles from cold to warm to scalding and around and around so you constantly have to dip under and out. I can’t say the stay was worth the price."
