"All things were very excellent"

"Everything was great but the room we stayed in had no electrical plug in the bathroom for hair dryer or curling iron. Other than that staff and facilities were great. Taxis were 70-80 pesos to go into central Bacalar. "

"No hot water in the showers. We understood they are cabins, not hotel rooms, so we expected that. We got the ensuite King size bed room for 1 night. The room was comfortable, bed comfortable, a charming cabin with an outdoor lovely deck with chairs and a table. The room has a partial view of the lagoon and very convenient, as the tours leave from it's own deck. The toilet was dirty, with marks around the toilet seat and loose, and the fact that there was no hot water was strange and inconvenient. Very quiet at night, which we loved. The staff was amazing. The restaurant had good food and also great service. Nevertheless, we had a lovely time but booked another hotel for the following night for comfort."

"One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at the staff was really helpful. I like the fact that it’s a smaller property. My room had a beautiful phenomenal view. I like the fact that I was able to check out a kayak at no extra cost and it was available for whenever I needed it. I also really enjoyed the dock with the tanning buds. The food was also amazing."

"Very bad hotel…. Every thing is falling a part…. Terrible maintenance…. Furniture old and obsolete …. I rent the room at Laguna Hotel Bacalar for 5 days…. I did not stayed there…. Only for a few minutes…. I grab my belongings and I left to rent another room some where else near by (Casa Arabe) I don’t understand how the City authorities allowed the hotel to operate under this circumstances…. I paid a lot for this hotel that is not worthed…. I don’t know how Expedia is willing to rent rooms for them….Extremely super UGLY property. Francisco Saldana"

"We stayed at Rancho Encantado for the weekend, and it was an incredible experience. A special thank you to José at the restaurant, his service was outstanding. Also, Vega, the paddleboard instructor, was amazing. Such a kind and patient person. He really helped my wife feel comfortable trying new things, she even went kayaking and paddleboarding, which she normally wouldn’t do! The sunrise over the lagoon was absolutely beautiful, and the water is simply stunning. We also did the 2-hour lagoon tour, and it was a great experience. We truly enjoyed it. The food deserves a special mention: excellent quality, and the presentation of each dish was professional and impressive. All the staff were welcoming, and the atmosphere of the place makes you want to stay more than just a couple of nights. We will definitely come back. And the photos we took are just beautiful! "
