"Very special place 30 or so minutes outside of Kandy, near Wattegama. A few individual cabin-esque rooms (with en-suite) around a cute courtyard of natural spring pool, pond, hammocks etc. Very attentative hosts who really demonstrate Sri Lankan hospitality at its best. The walk around the spice garden and local village was so interesting. Such a unique bonus to make this more of an experience than just a bed for the night. "Fantastic mountain top resort hotel. Comfortable suites, great staff and nice restaurant. Access can be tricky as the road is very narrow and challenging to navigate even for local taxi and tuk drivers. But once you get to the place it is paradise on earth!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Queens Hotel. The property is beautiful, with its traditional colonial architecture and a prime location overlooking the lake and the Temple of the Tooth. The two-bedroom family suite was ideal for our family, offering plenty of space and convenient access to the surrounding shops, restaurants, and main streets. Each room was equipped with air conditioning, which was greatly appreciated in the heat and humidity, and complimentary bottled water was replenished daily. The laundry service was excellent—both efficient and remarkably fast. What truly stood out, however, was the exceptional level of service from the staff. They consistently went above and beyond, whether delivering extra water, showing our daughter how to make an elephant from the towels, or arranging for a pair of trousers to be professionally cleaned after an accidental stain. The facilities were also excellent. The pool and bar area provided a relaxing atmosphere, and the restaurant served a range of delicious meals throughout our stay. The only minor drawbacks were the low shower water pressure, which made washing long hair somewhat challenging, and the noticeable noise from traffic and crows during the night. Light sleepers may wish to bring earplugs. Overall, we would highly recommend the Queens Hotel. Its combination of character, location, facilities, and outstanding service made for a memorable stay, and we would gladly return in the future."

"This is an excellent property at a beautiful location with great views. The breakfast I had here was one of the better ones I had in SL. The staff is very friendly and responsive. The rooms were clean and spacious. The only thing I will mention is getting to this place is through a km of very narrow hilly road. Trust your driver and hopefully you do not have too big of a car. Once you get here, the view and the resort is worth it. Minimize the up and down trips to city of Kandy from here if you can and spend more time at resort."
