I would not recommend this hotel for US travelers. It is not at all accommodating. The hotel manager woman on 3/31 was not helpful for many problems. I arrived and the A/C unit was not properly changed from “heat” to “a/c” per the manager. I waited around for it to be fixed and many hours later a gentleman from maintenance arrived only to tear apart the room to change it to an a/c setting In the ceiling. It cannot accommodate a simple 68 degrees. The air conditioning unit is simply obsolete. The room was hot. I asked to be switched to a different room and told from the manager that since I’m from America the A/C units do not have the functionality to be switched to “those that work like in the US Florida” it simply does not blow cold air at all. I was denied a switch. I had booked the hotel through expedia. The hotel endorses that it has a hotel bar and pool bar, not true! The hotel bar is small, without many options. However, after much debate I was switched to their sister property at Axel to accommodate my request only to find out after walking it was closed until 8pm from a suggestion of their stellar manager. In the Am I tried to obtain breakfast and was met with a host that would not allow me to pay cash, instead only to bill the room. The host was rude and only speaks to the mismanagement at this property. I finally asked to be switched to their sister property and I was met with a much different experience, the manager cares about customers and was able to accommod

I did not receive the room I booked. I booked ground floor city double and I received a basic room on first floor with dirty carpets and worn furniture. The bed was like 2 single camp beds pushed together to resemble a double. The floor outside tte room had cardboard outside the door. Overall the hotel is worn & basic uncomfortable place. The bar is the reception desk space. Breakfast room is cold and uncomfortable space. The hotel has all ironwork chairs and tables that belong in a garden. Not a 4 star hotel. I would recommend you find a nicer hotel for the price and do not recommend to stay here

Love this Hotel!
My stay at the Two Hotel was amazing. The front desk employees were very nice and polite when checking and when i asked for advice on the city. The room was very clean and very modern. The bed was firm and the pillows soft. The room is a very open plan and the showers have glass walls. Will definitely stay here again when i return tot he city.

Wonderful stay. Staff was welcoming and helpful, speaking English was a plus. I should've asked not to have room window adjacent to the street. Street traffic and activities upped noise level I could've avoided.

The shower is open to the entire bathroom with no obstacle perimeters to stop the water from the shower. That’s after your shower and entire bathroom is wet and you must use what towels there are to put on the floor so you don’t fall can’t use the sink or the toilet without slipping in the water.

horrible staff. extremely lazy and unfriendly. we booked 5 rooms, and all 5 people were having issues with the hotel staff. hotel is run down, floors are horrible. no shower gel , no hand soap, no complimentary water. overall disappointing experience

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and also this was our first time in Spain. The hotel is awesome, it’s roughly about a 20 minute walk to all of the gay bars and so we found ourselves stopping by the other axel hotel to have a drink on the roof before we went out. Overall the hotel had great amenities and the staff were very friendly. My only disclaimer would be that there isn’t much privacy with the washroom, so let’s just say you may be getting a whole lot closer with your partner lol!

My wife and I recently stayed for two nights at TWO Hotel Barcelona by Axel, and we want to share our experience. Overall, it was a pleasant hotel with a clean room and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean too, and the amenities were nice. Everything felt new and well-maintained. The location was fantastic, with lots of cool places around to explore. The hotel is inclusive and welcomes everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation. We were kindly upgraded to a room with a balcony view, which was a nice touch. Although the hotel has a rooftop pool, gym, and spa, we didn't have the chance to use them. However, we did have some issues with communication through the Expedia App. For example, the room had a mini bar with no prices listed. We tried to contact the hotel to ask about the prices, but we didn't get a response until the morning we were leaving. This was disappointing. The staff at TWO Hotel Barcelona by Axel were not very talkative and it was hard to communicate with them. Unfortunately, we had a negative experience when we asked for ice to help with my lower back pain inflammation. The hotel receptionist, who was also the bartender, told us to go to the supermarket instead of helping us. If it weren't for this ice issue, we would have given the hotel a five-star rating. In conclusion, our stay at TWO Hotel Barcelona by Axel was enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel has a great location. It's inclusive and welcoming to all guests.

The hotel location is perfect. Close to everything including the metro and an easy ride to the renfe station. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is one of the best I’ve had. Well worth the $. The rooms themselves are smaller and while that can be expected the utilization of the space is definitely design over function. Very little closet/storage space, so expect to live around your luggage and belongings. The bathroom and shower have VERY little privacy. Open space with a “frosted” glass between the bathroom and bed. Expect to see/hear everything. The bed itself is terrible very hard, which may be preferred by some, but the coils in the mattress can clearly be felt. Everything would warrant a return visit if the bed wasn’t so bad, painful actually.

The hotel is new and modern in design. The rooftop terrace is pleasant in the sun and has a nice heated pool. The rooftop bar was not open during our visit. Rooms however have odd layouts and little natural light due to heavy drapes and window placements that provide no privacy.

Great facility. Love the color of the decor. love the front desk staff very helpfully, resourceful accommodating and flexible. Only recommendation is to have the bathroom a lil bit more privacy.

The property is immaculately kept up, the staff is charming and always very helpful. The front desk clerk from Argentina, whose name escapes me at the moment, made my stay very welcoming and had some great recommendations for restaurants. The hotel is close to the night life and there was always something to do!
