The apartment was okay and served its purpose, but it did not fully match the impression given by the photos. The place was not as clean or polished as it appeared online, and we also encountered a cockroach during our stay.
The biggest issue for us was the lack of air conditioning. This was a major dealbreaker, especially during the heat in Barcelona. There were fans provided in each room, but they were not powerful enough to make the apartment comfortable, and we ended up sweating a lot. There was also an extra portable fan available, but it was not working. After we notified the host, they were responsive and brought us two new fans the following day, so the customer service was good, but the added fans did not solve the heat issue.
Some other small notes, theres a strong smell in the hallways in front of the appartment and if you check in late, you need to call a local number so make sure you are able to.
The balcony was a nice feature, and the location was very convenient, with a metro station nearby and easy access to the city. Overall, the apartment does the job if you are visiting during cooler weather, but during hot months I would strongly recommend paying more for a place with air conditioning. If this apartment had AC, I would have rated it much higher.
