The hotel was adjacent to La Boqueria. We have stayed in this property a few years ago. The staff is nice and the hotel clean but this stay the air conditioner didn’t work at all and we were forced to sleep with the doors open facing the market. We asked about repairs and nothing ever happened. The fan never produced any air from the vents. The noise was loud and never stopped. After the market closed we heard cleaning and washing and the rolling of the garage doors most of the night and early mornings. With the doors closed it was quiet but it was very hot. They didn't offer any fan or to change rooms or anything to relieve the warm Nights. Disappointed!

We loved the location for our first visit to Barcelona. You are right on La Rambla and directly over the market. Everything was walkable and a cab stop right in front. As for the room. It had the potential to be good. It was clean and the bed was comfortable, all we did was "try" to sleep so we didn't spend much time in it. The worst issue was the SMELL,it was nauseating. It smelled just like the sewer on the street. Housekeeping cleaned the toilet, that didn't help. We left our balcony doors open and that cleared it out, but once they were shut the smell returned. Not only did it make us both feel ill, it gave me a terrible headache. Second the AC system did not work properly, it made a high pitched squeal when you ran it. The only reason we needed it was to try and circulate the terrible odor out, but it was too loud. The toilet made a terrible noise too when flushed that would go one for about a minute, no trying to get up quietly in the night. By the time you were overcome by the stench, the noise from the toilet had you wide awake. Finally, the subway runs underneath, be prepared for the rumbling and shaking almost all night. We left early and requested a refund for our unused nights, but it was denied. We didn't really care at that point, we were just ready to get out. Because of a convention the room rate was almost $400 a night, well over the original advertised price so it stung a little, but we didn't care. We were in room 201 for reference.

We chose this property because of the Boqueria. Its location to that area was great. We arrived very early in the morning and We were disappointed that there was no real lobby to wait it. There was a small sitting area on the 1st floor where they serve breakfast which we weren’t told about. However, there was enough in the area to walk around and get some breakfast. The rooms are a little small but comfortable. We were very happy with our stay overall.

Fantastic location for downtown la Ramblas
Always lovely to stay at this hotel, especially if you are able to get one of the terrace rooms overlooking la boqueria. Great location and friendly check in staff. Only downside this time was that there was some shop fitting going on below the room, which caused a bit of noise in the afternoon and although it didn’t last long, it would have been nice to have been informed of this when checking in. Will definitely return here next time.

Great hotel, staff & perfectly located
It was perfectly located on the La Ramblas right near the entrance to the Boqueria Market-a great place to shop & eat at. It’s central to the city of Barcelona so you can easily walk to many attractions shopping. The hotel staff are very friendly & helpful. The hotel is very clean & totally eco friendly. I highly recommend & have already booked a return stay for myself.

if you are looking for a property around La Rambla, can’t beat here. Especially being located beside La Boqueria and easy access to subway and transit. Staff are great too!

Our family of 8 stayed in 4 rooms at Exe Ramblas Boqueria for 2 nights. Our experience was excellent! The hotel was clean, perfectly cool on a hot day, extremely comfortable and offering amazing terraces and balcony options! Every single staff member went out of their way to assist our family and to make sure our experience was exceptional! The location was perfectly situated next to the best market in Barcelona, even though the hotel breakfast was wonderful! Very walkable area near the amazing Gothic Quarter too. I can not recommend this hotel enough! It's wonderful! :)

Absolute MUST stay! The view over the food market and the buildings surrounding are spectacular. The room and hotel is top notch for the price. Staff was very helpful. Location was great as well, centrally located along the most popular area in Barcelona. I will definitely stay here again.

Loved the first floor with a lovely private deck to relax on. I personally loved hearing the sounds of the market opening in the morning and watching them set up for the day. Great area to walk around and catch metro or taxis.

We stayed here 13 years ago and in this visit, nothing has been updated. The beds were a bit uncomfortable and rooms were basic. They were quiet and the balcony opened to the street and market (we had 2 rooms). The staff are kind but the hotel is dated and probably not up to it’s 3 star rating. We would not stay here again but the location is pretty ideal.

Central location and clean but not great for sleep
We have stayed at several Exe hotels and have always been pleased with the stay. I am a light sleeper, so when booking requested a room on a higher floor. When we arrived we were on the first floor next to the lift. When we asked to change rooms there were no rooms available. This was disappointing as it felt like we were never listened to, although the receptionists were pleasant. Although the location is very central which is useful, the constant people noise, traffic noise and vibrations of the Metro meant we had limited sleep. The room decor was nice and very clean. Disappointed compared to the service we have received from other Exe hotels.

I didn’t expect that this hotel doesn’t have a lobby, I was so shocked ! When you get IN, There’s only a small counter for checking in/out. No hair conditioner just shampoo which is makes my hair super dry and tangles. No coffee maker at all! No Full mirror in the room. The only thing I like was the location next to Boqueria market and the balcony. The breakfast was ok for $10

The small balcony overlooking the market that is accessible to everyone from the 1st floor was a nice surprise! We got to watch fireworks from the balcony one evening. The room was super clean and spacious. The breakfast is also very nice. Would definitely book again.

Anniversary trip. They gave us a corner room with 3 open balconette; great view of Ramblas and market. Front desk went above and beyond in making our anniversary special by providing a bottle of sparkling wine, fresh strawberries and chocolates; Aldo recommend an authentic restaurant for dinner. Great stay.

The location can't be beat, it's in the middle of La Ramble, the room was lovely with a huge terrace, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the housekeeping service deserves more than 5 stars, they kept the room extremely clean. Would definitely recommend this hotel!

The staff was great! I was only there for one night and had to leave for BCN at 4.00 am. They made sure a taxi was waiting for me. The views are amazing from the balcony. Everything was great!
