Broken elevator and no help offered to take luggage to the 3rd floor. Room is like being in a motel 6. Beds are not comfortable and very limited beddings. Not worth the stay and will definitely not recommend to anybody.

Great location if you want to be in the center of La Rambala. Lots of restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Hotel seems more like a hostel than Hotel. Its safe and great staff. We had 2 rooms, one room with 3 single beds and the other with 4 beds. We are a family of 5, were comfortable for 2 night stay. Breakfast is included. Rooms have AC, a most if traveling in summer.

Breakfast area is dirty, dead roaches on the silverware, quality of foods poor. 😡 Room tiny, Tv screen at about 14x10inches. 😡 Staff are nice and friendly. 😊 Elevator in the building is always broken, mainly during breakfast hours in the morning; they say it is broken. I spent 3 days there, and it was working only in the first day when I got there. 😡 Shops nearby are good. 😊 Location is good. Metro is near. 😊 There are several options for places to eat. Best and cheapest tacos are at TKO. 😊 The picture of Placa Reial posted is probably from years ago. In 2025, the square was dirty, there were no palm trees nor Fountain of the Three Graces anymore. Furthermore, there was some repairing or renewing going on it. 😡

Overall Nice Stay!

The hotel is on a nice large open square with lots of restaurants and outdoor seating. The breakfast area was very nice, and had very tasty coffee and croissants. They also provided free luggage storage and the front desk people were friendly and helpful.

The service and staff at the hotel were fantastic. Kind, helpful, and overall very accommodating. The hotel in it self is so so, but the location is incredible and the rooms were clean and decent. Breakfast is nothing special, but it is a good cup of coffee and a croissant to get you started. With so many restaurants in the area, there is no issue finding another breakfast. Overall a great stay for a night in Barcelona.

Very clean and all staff was great. Location was perfect. We chose because it was not new and modern. The court yard was full of life all day and night easy to walk everywhere we wanted to go. Ate at Samantha's-was very nice. Would stay here again..

I liked the closeness to museums and stores, restaurants and overall everything was superb. The only complaint I have is the breakfast. Very little to choose from. No eggs no dark bread no fruit. More juices could have been nice.

The hotel is well situated for walking around. The room was very small. There was no safe in the room so we had to carry our valuables. The only toiletries were sachets of shampoo. No soap for hand washing! It was ok for one night but glad we didn’t stay longer . The lift is very dangerous because you could easily knock someone downstairs when you open the door.

We liked the location but the facility services were poor. There was no soap, hair dryer, or conditioner. The mattress was thin and needs to be replaced. We did like that we were staying in an old spanish building, but the room facilities need to be updated. The room was however nice and clean.

Hotel Roma Reial

Upon arriving at Hotel Roma Reial, for our 4 night break, we were greeted by a pleasant well mannered receptionist. This Hotel is perfectly situated, within the square, however if you're not fond of lively, noisy banter at night, then this is not for you, in saying that, the room we stayed in, we could not hear it. Onto the room, well, less than basic, in my opinion, felt very chlostrophobic, the bed was very uncomfortable, only had 1 pillow supplied, the bed covers were, well, very dated. Disappointed to see there were no facilites to make a cup of tea. The bathroom was very well decorated & clean 👌. The continental breakfast, was very disappointing to say the least, all that was on offer was, croissants, a roll that looked like a hot dog roll, muffins & cornflakes (i think), the coffee dispenser, had luke warm water, making the coffee, nit very nice, suffuce to say we never bothered having breakfast again, very disappointing. Can be very noisy within the Hotel, with other residents coming in late at night. On the whole, i'm surprised this Hotel has a 1* rating, the receptionists were all very polite & well mannered, it's the Hotel itself that is, very very disappointing, suffice to say that unfortunately we will never return to Hotel Roma Reial.

The only good thing about the hotel was its location. There wasn’t any carpet anywhere therefore it was noisy, every time anyone came or went the sound echoed through the halls. We weren’t able to eat the breakfast due to there being extremely limited choice/food allergies. During the night we were woken up by loud music which we believe came from a local nightclub. The beds were anything but comfortable with the pillows being just as bad.

The rooms might seem small but it was efficient. The breakfast was delicious and the location was in the center of the old town, making walking around easy. The staff were excellent allowing us to store our luggage until we were ready to leave. The price was great and everything was clean.
