I loved the beds. The mattresses are very comfortable I slept like a king. The room was very clean and roomy for the four of us. There were four beds in the room. Lots of plugs for to connect your electronic devices.

The property does not look like in the photos on Expedia, but very clean room, friendly staff and good location to catch the train to the City as the hotel is around 200 metres walk from the train Station of Mataro. The beach is also also close to the hotel.

The hotel itself is very good. The staffs are nice and very helpful. The area of hotel can use a little tides up a bit. The dog’s owner should clean up after their dogs, regardless whether.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hotel Review — New Hotel Colon, Mataró Our stay at New Hotel Colon was wonderful from start to finish. The location couldn’t be better — just a short walk to the beach, great restaurants, and Mataró’s city center. The room was clean, modern, and comfortable, with great air conditioning and a cozy bed after long travel days. The staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was smooth and efficient. We especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere and how close the hotel was to the train station, making day trips to Barcelona incredibly easy. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing, affordable, and well-located stay on the coast near Barcelona.

What a find. Very good hotel, handy for the train station and the centre of Mataro, and getting into Barcelona. Plenty of choice for breakfast, especially as mine was included in my room price. Also some options for an evening meal, not quite as many but the food was very good. Only small gripe, which wasn't the hotels fault, was on my floor on my last night there were some very loud guests who were constantly going into other rooms, knocking on doors as they didn't answer. It didn't go on too late but was annoying.

Location is great. Short walk from train station with regular 45 minute trains to Barcelona. Close to beautiful beach and lots of bars. Hotel restaurant and bar is also good. Breakfast is enough to set you up for day. I did find room hot despite the air conditioning. Staff are very friendly with good English skills

Generally a very comfortable. Bad points: Restaurant closed on Sunday evening; Restaurant dinners need some changes- my pork jowl was 95% fat! ; most of the plug sockets in the room were damaged; No coffee or tea making facilities in the room; Room decor a bit stark/basic; bathroom tap had a painfully weak flow. Good points- helpful staff; very good breakfast selection; well situated for access to town and station; room cleaning excellent. Great aircon. A good hotel for a 3 star but could be very good with a few improvements. Dont hesitate to stay here.

Très bien

Séjour d'une nuit pour attendre le vol du lendemain. Rue agréable, parking sous l' hôtel. Il faut marcher un tout petit peu pour traverser et rejoindre la mer en face situation agréable a 5 min du centre , a 5 min du bord de mer. Chambre correct mais assez froide, peu de déco, c'est blanc. Lit confortable. Pas de bruit , nuit agréable. Personnel serviable et accueillant.

Estuve dos noches. La habitación individual es un zulo, el lavabo a 3 dedos del inodoro, la cama de 90, sin ventilacion y con un holor nauseabundo... Pedi en recepcion factura por el parking y la tasa, el lunes me la daban el martes, el martes me la daban a la salida, y a la salida no podian y me la tenian que mandar por mail... En la habitacion no indican la clave del wifi, tuve que bajar para preguntar. Un desproposito.

Location was great, about 3 blocks from the beach. Staff was super helpful. They offer garage, but paid. Room was comfy. It was quiet and I had the essentials. I recommend it.

Mijn verblijf in het New Colon Hotel was over het algemeen aangenaam, vooral gezien de prijs. Het hotel ligt centraal op par honderd meter van het strand. De belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden zijn makkelijk te voet bereikbaar, en er zijn veel restaurants en winkels in de buurt. De kamers zijn eenvoudig maar schoon, en bieden alles wat je nodig hebt voor een kort verblijf. De badkamer was functioneel maar heeft wel een opknapbeurt nodig, het was gedateerd. Het personeel was top! Erg vriendelijk en deed hun best om mijn verblijf zo prettig mogelijk te maken. Het in- en uitchecken verliep vlot. Al bij al is het New Colon Hotel een goede optie als je op zoek bent naar een betaalbaar verblijf op een centrale locatie.
