- right next to a tram spot - super clean rooms and nice bathroom - all staff we dealt with were wonderful - free mini bar! (One beer, two cokes, two waters) Only downfall was the room was SO hot! It was 0 degrees mostly when we were there but had to sleep with the door open as it was too hot / stuffy. Otherwise, I really recommend and thank all of the staff! :)

The hotel is in an excellent location and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Only minor criticism is there is no AC, but the windows open wide and the room was supplied with a large fan so not a major gripe. Overall a wonderful stay.

THE BEST HOTEL

This hotel is possibly THE BEST HOTEL I have ever stayed in. Myself and colleagues were there for a couple of nights and all commented on the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms, the delicious breakfast (especially the pastries) and the nice additional touches (a games room, use of umbrellas, well-stocked complimentary mini bar ...) I will always now use this hotel for our trips to Basel.

Great location and lovely view walking across the bridge to the old city centre; very clean; reception staff could not have been nicer or more helpful; comfortable rooms with nice touches like shoe horns and umbrellas that could be borrowed; quiet; a very welcome bath tub; though I only had a single room I had a balcony and it was lovely to sit in the evening sun; excellent value for money. Wonderful location, within easy walking distance to transportation, and to great dining options. Breakfast was lovely, in a bright conservatory overlooking the gardens. A lovely stay in Basel.

My husband and I had a 3 night stay with another couple. The rooms were very pleasant, although they were very warm. The breakfast was delicious, with both hot and cold food and a very good variety of choice. The breakfast staff were delightful and very helpful, as were the reception staff. It is easy to get into town over the river on the tram.

It was a nice property with very helpful staff. Well maintained. The coffee machine in the lobby was fantastic and convenient. The only downside was the heat in our room. There is no Aircon. We opened the window and turned on the fan but it was still to hot.
