"A clean and welcoming hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient. The room was comfortable with a good bathroom (though I would have welcomed a shaving mirror). The lounge and restaurant were pleasant. Breakfast was good but I was less impressed by the evening meal so went elsewhere as a result. Spa facilities were a welcome bonus. Great setting, particularly for local walks. Beautiful views. All in all, highly recommended."

"Room clean and warm with clean towels and very comfortable bed, just needs a coat of paint to brighten it up, staff were excellent and breakfast very good, never had a car so parking not applicable , to be honest I would stay again but they really need the painters in"

"We stayed at Armathwaite Hall for one night and it was superb. The staff were all so friendly and helpful and little touches made our stay very memorable such as a glass of prosecco on arrival and a card and some chocolates in my room for my birthday. We stayed in a Club room which was very spacious. We ate in the dining room which was pricey but the food was exquisite so worth the money. We also made full use of the spa facilities which are just heavenly and very relaxing. I would thoroughly recommend Armathwaite Hall to anyone even if only for a one night birthday treat. Superb! "

"The parking is easy & free and the staff are very friendly, cheerful, helpful & polite. The rooms are basic but clean, the shower cubicle is huge & the towels are big too. We would go back again."
