"Staff were lovely, room was big and spotlessly clean. Felt very welcome and at home with our dog. Breakfast was nice. Exceeded expectations in all areas! Really comfy bed, slept very well. Nice powerful shower and large bath. "

"Beautiful hotel full of character and charm in a great location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, and the breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.
We really appreciated the lovely anniversary touches, including the swan towels, card, chocolate bar, and complimentary late check-out, which made our stay feel extra special.
A couple of things could be improved. There is no hotel parking, and the local car park costs £16 for 24 hours. The rooms didn’t quite match the usual standard expected from the hotel. The pillows were quite lumpy, and the bathroom floor was sloped with very creaky floorboards, which made the room feel a little tired. Complimentary water in the room would also be a nice touch.
Overall, it’s a lovely hotel with beautiful character features and lots of potential — it just needs a little freshening up in places."

"A lovely hotel, centrally located in Harrogate . Bar and restaurant areas beautiful and really well done. Noticed a little room for children with toys and games which I thought was a nice touch.
Breakfast was nice. The room was small but clean and comfortable.
The only negatives were:-
- The bathroom which needs some attention.
- TV HDMI almost impossible to access. Please attach an extension socket.
We would cheerfully stay again."
