"Did not meet expectations. Facility needs more upkeep and general maintenance, mostly on the exterior and outdoor areas. Stayed in building Q, which had litter and some trash in the open hallway for the 3 nights we were there. The 2 bedroom queen with patio room was spacious and pretty nice I side, except for the numerous spots where the wallpaper was peeling. The dirty dusty grimy patio, and the shower head that wouldn't stay in place (pole kept dropping down). Pool was a nice temperature, but there were no towels available (sometimes for hours, 2 of the 3 nights). Restaurant onsite was pricey but pretty tasty. Pickle ball courts were abundant and free to borrow equipment to play."
"Much better than usual chain hotel breakfast. Lovingly run by a family. Walking distance to the quaint Carmel valley village. We had a refreshing stay as family of four. Spacious rooms and beautiful gardens."
"Pro: Staff was amazing, location and parking were excellent, price was great as well
Con: windows so thin that it felt like the seagulls and people on the steet were IN my room on the top floor. My friend in the room next door said the same. Very hard to sleep past 5am."
"Our experience was extremely disappointing for three reasons. First the property, which is quite old, has not been well maintained. The word I would use to describe our room is "shabby." Pretty shocking at this price point. Second, the management and service levels are below par. The primary draw of the property is the ocean view, meaning the property is located on a sloped hillside. That means stairs and distant parking lots. We arrived at night and no assistance or explanation was offered other than a map handed to us at the front desk. Finding our room in the dark was in no way intuitive.Seriously, at these prices? Finally, we were subtly pitched on the timeshare which co-exists on the propery. Tacky.
We are never going back"
"We stayed for two nights and three days at this location. The location in itself was amazing but we had issues with AC in the room. The temperature remained at 77° and was very hot throughout the night. We called in at the front desk at the middle of the night, we did have a visit from one of their staffs, at 12:30 at night but couldn’t figured out the AC situation. We left the bathroom window open and tried our best to lower the room temperature. AC was set to 61° but overall temperature of the room didn’t drop lower than 76° all night.
In addition our room got cleaned next day but coffee cups and coffee pods were not available for the second morning of the stay.
Before we checked out, we let the front desk staff know about all those issues but haven’t heard anything back.
Great location for stay but AC is not working, room amenities not being restocked/available, and not hearing from the management team after providing feedback, I would have to rethink before I recommend someone to stay here."
