"Unfortunately, our "Anniversary Get-A-Way" did not go as planned! The hotel/casino runs on a "skeleton crew" in all aspects of the hotel/casino during the week. Only on Thursday-Sunday do they have more staff, gaming, etc. The Spa has never re-opened since after COVID (a dealer stated that they will never open back up) So much for a romantic "couples massage." Only 2 restaurants and 1 cafe were open while we were there. The other restaurants are open only later in the week/weekend, forcing us to drive to Pechanga to find more eating establishments. I was looking forward to "relaxing by the pool" only to be informed by a staff member that it is NOT open. (this is Southern California for gods sake, with great weather most of the time and Spring Break week...it SHOULD be open!!) Front desk staff was just meh...didn't ask/care that we were there to celebrate our anniversary. Gaming also was sub-par...only 1 Pai Gow table open the entire stay and it is in the "high roller" section. Very limited dealers/tables open early in the week. Many times we had to "wait" for a spot/table to open. At least most of the dealers/housekeeping were very nice...
I guess Pala does not care to cater to the guests that come early on in the week..only care about their "weekend guests!" Will NOT be returning and will be taking our "get a ways" somewhere else!"
