"The pool area and views were amazing. Also the food was excellent and the ambiance and experience was mesmerizing. We will travel to this location again!!"
"The property is gorgeous, the staff was very attentive and all the requests were promptly addressed.
The room was big and clean but they don’t have AC. During the day can get warm but overnight there were no issues.
The food was delicious and the service was outstanding.
Overall we highly recommend this property. "
"Rooms are good, clean and comfortable. Can’t review food as the restaurant was closed but the food at the service station (in the same building) was good and the staff were very helpful and nice. "
"The warmest and most amazing host in Italy! We felt very welcome here. The apartment has a living room and a kitchenwith locally made ragu avaiable for cooking your own delicious pasta! This place is really good. Grazie Mille!"
"It is an extraordinary place, an old building in the old city of Popi with wonderful views of the valley next to the Popi castle with private parking next door. However, it has many details that could improve the room, which is quite poorly decorated, with bathroom accessories of very poor quality, the mattress is old and soft. In short, the room could be of a different quality than what it is."

"It’s hard to know where to begin when describing this property, but I guess I have to start somewhere. This is quite possibly the most beautiful property I’ve ever had the pleasure to visit. The grounds are exceptionally gorgeous. The food is mind-blowingly excellent. The wine superb. The service incredible. We had the best time at our cooking class as we were grouped with 8 strangers who became friends by the end of the evening. The pool is enchanting, the room was huge and impeccably appointed. Wow. Wow. Wow. I will miss my time at Torre A Cona!"
"I am a frequent international traveler and our II Borro experience was among the best. The Concierge staff was amazing! And a key to our great stay. Will recommend without reservation. "
"The staff are very friendly, the surroundings are idyllic and the restaurant is downright fantastic. Definitely feels like it's part of the surrounding Tuscan landscape and culture. If venturing into the surrounding hills it is recommended to use bug repellant, as some of the flies can get quite bitey. There is a bus stop very close to the driveway to the hotel which has busses to Florence. If you want a more flexible schedule than what the busses provide, or what to explore the surroundings a car would be the most convenient. While you can walk on the surrounding roads there is not really a pedestrian pavement, so you are sharing the space with the cars and bikes. All in all, an excellent stay that I would recommend to others, especially couples looking for a lovely getaway to the Tuscan countryside while still being in easy reach of Florence. "
"I can’t even find the words. Our stay at Palagina was so wonderful. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. My husband and I along with our 2 children ages 7/5 loved our apartment stay. The rooms were spacious and cozy. Beautiful views of the vineyard and Tuscan hills. The food at both venues were delicious , fresh and presentation was on point!
The last night we reserved the vineyard dinner. This was so special to us. Our children loved the activities, pool and the playground. What a wonderful way to explore the Tuscan culture with our children. "
"ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. My husband and I brought our 7-year old for a 10-day trip in Italy. We explored Rome and Florence but the highlight of our entire experience was staying at Villa la Palagina. The surroundings are gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the staff was so warm and gracious. It was the perfect getaway from the busy city centers. We booked a wine/olive oil tasting and we got to bring home a souvenir bottle that our son poured and corked directly from the barrel. While the furnishings in our villa were a bit rustic and outdated, the AC and main pools more than made up for it. Especially on those 95+ degree days. 5 stars across the board and I hope we get the chance to visit again!"
