Stopover on the way back to UK
The room was clean and comfortable. Wifi connection was easy. The breakfast was excellent. Location ideal and close to all amenities.

Night stop
One night stay en route from the UK to Sardinia. Nice hotel with friendly staff. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

Very disappointing for a Mercure
Room was small with horrible view of rooftop pipes. There was an almost continuous noise of a boiler or motor of some sort. We could hardly hear the tv because of it. Shower was barely warm. Pillows poor. Not at all the usual Mercure standard. Very disappointing. We stayed a at a Holiday Inn the night before for the same price. It was immensly better than this Mercure.

Ok
The hotel is ideal for a one night stay - while travelling. It was not especially clean but the staff was exceedingly nice and helpful. We had a comfortable bed in a room with a disagreeable smell overlooking a roof and utilities and a wall.

Nice enough, but pricey
The hotel was more than suitable for our overnight stop. I was a little disappointed with the size of the room - given it was €130 a night. With the restaurant closed we had a packed breakfast delivered to our room which ruled out us choosing what food we wanted. The food was OK, for prepacked food, but not what I would have chosen at a buffet bar. The receptionist was excellent and directed us to a nice restaurant for dinner. Our room was very quiet and it was nice having the car in an off road, gated car park.

Small & outdated bathroom
The room offered smelt of horribke stale cigarette smoke. After complaining we were mived to another room. The bedroom was very nice but the batgroom very small, outdated. The toilet was stained & the old shower cubicle seals very stained.

Good value for money
A good hotel to use at reasonable price whilst travelling. Not a very attractive part of the town but rooms are reasonably large, well-appointed and quiet. Restaurant meets the need but don't expect too great a choice or anything outstanding; at the hotel's price it is perfectly reasonable. Good size of parking and convenient for the autoroute.

This is a good hotel for overnight stops en route at a competitive price. Helpful staff, clean and well-equipped rooms and a pleasant restaurant. Bar service is usually a bit slow and restaurant has a rather limited and it seems unchanging menu - not all of which we would recommend (avoid the Bresse chicken). That said, we will use the hotel again.

Perfect stay for a good price.
I really liked this hotel. I was in Bourg en Bresse for business. Great staff. Delicious restaurant. Breakfast was super. Fitness Room was small but had everything I needed. Very comfortable room with a sofa, tea machine and so on. Free parking. Easy to access.

Disappointing Family Room
We arrived after 8.00pm in the evening, after waiting an age for someone to appear at the front desk to book in we went to our room and the children's pull down bed was not made up and the process of unfolding the sofa was not explained to us. We had had a very long journey and the children were very tired so it would have been nice to be at least pre warned and for someone to come with us to help set their bed up. There was only 1 bath towel in the room, insufficient for a family of 4. The staff were generally unhelpful. This is not a "budget" hotel and for the money we expected more. Probably only good for a night stopover for business person when someone else is picking up the bill.

Fab hotel near to Disney
Great hotel within 15 minutes by free transfer to Disney. Staff are very helpful. Hotel is very clean throughout and was a joy to stay at.

Ideal for overnight stay en route south. Town dull
Stayed two nights on way to south. One would have been sufficient as Bourg-en-Bresse has little to recommend it. Very clean. Staff very helpful. Excellent meal in dining room if a little pricey. Breakfast fine in pleasant area. Room very basic but I wonder if this was because we had a dog with us. Comfortable bed and quiet at night.

Great customer service experience
Excellent customer service. Receptionist on duty was obviously very busy but made the effort to find us a restaurant table when we arrived late & tired. Restaurant staff also impressed with good local knowledge that made it feel less like a hotel chain. Food and room both exceeded expectations.

We stopped over in Bourg En Bresse for a night, to break a long drive to Italy. We were very tired but the reception staff and especially the restaurant staff were great. Really good and pleasant service and excellent food. We had Bresse chicken in Bourg En Bresse - couldn't be better! Really close to the A39/40 motorways as well.

Another Mercure hotel but with great restaurant.
Not a very inspiring looking hotel upon arrival, and further aggravated by the unhelpful, sullen young lady at reception when we checked in! The air-conditioned reception was most welcome after coming in from a 38 degree heat outside! Unfortunately, the hotel corridors and lift were very stuffy and not ventilated. Thankfully, our room was blissfully cool and well equipped with a safe, fridge and a handy little table and chairs. We decided to dine in the hotel restaurant for our evening meal, and this turned out to be a very enjoyable experience. The food was lovely with sensible portion sizes, along with the helpful waiter, Adrien, who must be commended for his excellent service throughout. Upon departure, the (different) young lady on check out was very pleasant and helpful. What a contrast to the miserable, unhelpful one the previous day on check in!!

Desk staff helpful in recommending local restaurant (hotel restaurant didn't open until 7.15pm with no other eating option). My son left his laptop adapter in the room which the staff found and kept so we could collect it on the way home.

Miserable Staff
This newly renovated hotel was only let down by the surley nature of two of the restaurant staff. A fair haired waitress was particularly unhelpful, however this approach faded into insignificance when compared to the attitude of the waiter/barman JPV. Not satisfied with ignoring our group of 5 diners at every opportunity possible, when we finally received attention for a blood red chicken breast served to our young son, no apology was offered. He simply took the plate away, had it cooked through and returned it to us on the same plate with the same accompaniments. To list all of the issues we had with these 2 individuals would simply be too exhaustive. On a brighter note the younger male waiter, Adrien, made every attempt to be professional and polite. To compound matters, when checking out in the morning, the receptionist tried every attempt possible to incorrectly insist that we had only pre-paid for one of our rooms. Reluctantly she finally saw the error of her suggestion and made an adjustment of the invoice to the correct balance. She did not apologise for the error and made no attempt at any level of courtesy. Just a "did you have a nice stay" or "is there any other matter that I can help you with" approach would have been nice. In general, although the fabric of the building was of a good standard some staff training would not go a miss.
