"Very easy location if you are travelling northwards on the A1. A very leafy part of Darlington. There is a park the other side of the road a bit further on but we didn't go to it. The building has character and history that we like but there are modern rooms if you prefer that style. We have been twice recently and will go again. On the 2 Saturdays we have been there there have been weddings but have not been disturbed by any noise and quite enjoy seeing some of the guests as we go through the hotel! Wifi and breakfast were good."

Beautiful garden with stunning views over to Hawes and it was just so peaceful to sit out there. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. Fantastic breakfast and we also had dinner in the hotel and this was beautifully presented and delicious."
