"Great location on campus with a nice bar and restaurant. Rooms were slightly more functional but comfortable and all we needed. Would definitely stay again, and the price was good."

"The room wasn’t properly cleaned , dust on the bedside cabinets , bathroom floor not clean , couldn’t get the tv to work and no instructions, the water coming out of the taps was brown . There were no other guests in the whole hotel yet we couldn’t book a standard room . Very disappointed this time . This was a return visit as we thought it was a lovely place last time . I don’t think we would return ."

"For a basic room for one night it was fine, however I don’t think I’d stay longer. Room was spacious and clean(except the door to the bathroom, the edge where people close with their hands was black), bed and pillows comfortable, however it could do with being refurbished. Paint chipping from walls, coving, pipes and woodwork. Toilet roll holder falling off the wall, grout was turning yellow toilet seat was stained, everything just looked old. The main reception/restaurant and bar were lovely and breakfast was good value for money and plentiful, I just wasn’t impressed with the room "

"Delightful and comfortable pub based hotel. My room was so comfortable and well appointed that I wished I was staying longer. Staff all very warm and helpful. Dinner was excellent and the breakfast choice was good"

"There was an issue with my booking at the usual place i stay so i booked this last minute and i was not disappointed. The staff were super friendly, the rooms have recently been refurbished and the room I stayed in was beautiful. This is now my new favourite place to stay in the area and I will be back. Thank you. "We really enjoyed our stay for just one night. We found the parking convenient and safe, although we did an extra circuit of the campus as the signposting in the last 150 metres wasn't clear. "Very convenient location. Staff was great, and room very clean. The only downside was that as it is a pub, it was quite noisy just outside of my room when I actually wanted an early night. I imagine that having an upstairs room would have solved that, but I eventually managed to sleep anyway!"

"Lovely property. Very homey and comfortable. Easy to access the Market Square area and Uni. Home owners were easily accessible and responsive to questions. Would stay here again and would recommend to others!"
