Hyatt Regency Buffalo / Hotel and Conference Center
10/10 Excellent
"Downtown Buffalo is half urban-renewal empty lots and half glorious century-old buildings. The hotel is a well-run corporate-type place with friendly staff and clean facilities. A safe bet."
"On account of the manager (Keyahnah), this review is going to be the opposite of what I was originally going to write.
We ended up in an accessible room, which we didn’t know meant that the shower was curbless. After showering, our room was flooded with water not just in the bathroom, but in the hall as well. We asked for another room and after coming up personally to assess the nature of the situation, Manager Keyahnah moved us to another room, though she warned us that it might not have a microwave. She must have seen the look of disappointment on my face because she offered a solution and I was blown away. Nothing beats customer excellence like carrying a microwave to another suite in order to ensure customer satisfaction. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable; not every client representative would be willing to do that, manager or not. We were overly impressed by Keyahnah’s commitment to customer excellence.
The breakfast was also a pleasant surprise. We have stayed here before and though the breakfast was passable the last time that we stayed here, it was not extraordinary. This time around, they had all the usual items but in addition, there were hash browns that were not just tasty but also not oily, which is a rare find.
Jarrett, who is a GM, was also very kind. He advised us on the happenings of the area and as a result, we decided to attend a couple of festivals in the surrounding area. We enjoyed ourselves so much so that we decided to stay anoth"
