We had a large group that checked in and a majority of the rooms had the strong odor of cigarette smoke. The hotels first response was to open a window and it took me having a local friend to get them to change my room. The room itself was dirty. Along the wall and toilets were the worse Staff at the front desk, housekeeping and restaurants were very friendly, however the women in the hotel stores literally stand next to you the whole time making it uncomfortable to shop. Overall I felt safe at the hotel and it’s in a good location and the view is beautiful

Hotel is beautiful and staff are helpful very secure but surrounding neighborhood is rough. If you only stay in the hotel and take Ubers you will be fine. I would not recommend walking in this area. Loud music playing until late, dated building, unhelpful staff, not walkable to anywhere, and alcohol is not served at the restaurants.
