We paid extra for the pyramid view, but the photos they represent on hotels.com is not the room you will get. The "pyramid" view we got was more like "other old crumbly buildings and antennas and junk" view.
The room was also cold. Their heating did not work. Staying in the desert in the middle of the winter can get cold at nights, even though its hot during the day.
Other than that everything else was great with this hotel. Amazing and friendly staff, up to date rooms and pleasant stay. The restaurant upstairs is very nice and the food is amazing. We really loved Ahmed in the restaurant, very pleasant experience.
Be careful of the con men outside. When they see you, they do not see humans, they see dollar signs. Unfortunately seeing the amazing pyramids can be stained by the pathetic con artists all around giza, and especially inside the pyramid grounds. They will try to sell you things, they will con you, they will take your pictures and ask for extreme amounts of money. We had a guy just put me on a camel without my consent and wouldnt let me get off until we paid him $30, although he claimed that Americans usually give him $500 for a camel ride. These people are all over the place like roaches and unfortunately Egypt, and the Egyptian police do not care one bit
I would take a trip to another country instead of Egypt if I had to do it again because of the lowlife Egyptians. If you're going, stay one or two nights to see pyramids and get out of there
