"Had a fantastic stay here at this property, The location with the fantastic view is ofcourse the highlight going down to the beach is only 5mins , coming back with motorbike (habal-habal) took 2mins with 25peso. Very Responsive in terms of communication.The family really took care of us also offered us a free pick up in sabang market at arrival. My room was beautiful and quiet room indeed."

"The unit itself is fine, just as described and pictured in the listing, was clean and A/C worked good, though the WiFi was weak to non-exsistant during my stay. "Purchased a package with breakfast included, but hotel denying and saying it was not included. Overpriced for such amount against inclusion as it is providing basic room service. Pictures of their ad includes a pool which is owned by another property. Really misleading"

"The house is very isolated. Not feasible to walk back and forth to Sabang, where the closet market is located. The house had not been cleaned in weeks, which meant the beds were very dusty. Recommend bringing your own linens. There was no drinking water or wifi, and breakfast was not included as advertised. Power goes out often (not Bahay Isla's fault), so good luck sleeping when the weather is hot. "

"On arrival at 5pm room not ready, then no water supply to the room and when it did come we discovered there was no hot water, after approaching the manager we were informed that there is no hot water at all to this room EVER !!! "Hotel staff is friendly and they require you to give them your key so it doesn’t get lost but there’s almost no one at the receptionist desk. "Mostly this is a dive resort. I booked online without really checking the location. It's actually Sabang I think, and requires a tricycle or jeepney ride from Puerto Galera, and another short trip to Sabang. Check in at Reception was easy, staff were friendly. Reception is located by the bar and restaurant area, which is open, with a view. The hotel is built on a hill. My room was at the bottom of the hill and it's a serious climb back to the top. A bit steep. The room was nice. Fairly new. Nice big bed. Nice bathroom. All clean. Towels, soap and toothbrushes supplied. The front door was an amazing bit of technology opened with a digital key. The air-con wasn't working, but there's a good fan. The main problem I have with hotels is the lack of power points, especially by the bed. I'm a traveler who needs to charge my phone on arrival & use if I want to lay down. Nice pool outside. Nicely casual"

"This is a no frills resort. If you're looking to get of the beaten pay this the place . We loved it walking distance on the beach to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island , not white beach, much nicer. Restaurant has a limited selection but some tasty local foods . We rented a motorcycle for 4days best thing ever as we saw the island at our own pace. Support staff fantastic and liokes after us . Very rustic rooms gret experience."

If you need wifi double check !

"The room was comfortable and air conditioning worked well. The shower temperature was variable depending on time of day but generally ok. There was no wifi available even though it stated wifi was provided. Initially this was not a real issue as we had mobile data, but when trying to check in for our return flights would have been useful as mobile kept dropping. Breakfast was basic (choice of hot dog, longanisa, beef tapa or tocino served with garlic rice and fried egg) with a sachet of coffee, served in another building around the corner."

"1. Customer services was bad. 2. Parking was small and inconvenient. 3. No respect for guests privacy. Do not disturb sign was on and yet they ring the doorbell to change toiletries when we didn’t even ask for it. 4. No elevator and very dark hallway. "
