Hi Vanessa, Thank you for your honest feedback and for taking the time to help us try to improve operations. We’re very glad to hear you liked the location, breakfast and aesthetics of the place. We are sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with the size of the room. As there is nothing we can physically do about this, we are in the process of changing the wording slightly on our website to better reflect the room size as well as the noise that you might be able to hear from each room. We are aware of sound travelling through the rooms (we believe it is only on the top floor due to the raised ceilings) we are in the process of working with our contractor to find ways to minimise/ eliminate travelling sounds as soon as possible. We have also re-enforced regulations on cleaners sweeping outside the rooms in early morning or late afternoon. Unfortunately, outside noises such as dog barking are completely out of our control. Hello, Thank you for taking the time and for your honest feedback. We are always hoping to improve our operations to ensure both our in-house guests and visitors are happy. We would never want anyone to feel uncomfortable at our venue. We do however, love to help small businesses and these photo shoots are a part of that as we do not charge. We allow local businesses to enter and shoot in order to help them with their marketing. As such, we have brought in some new regulations for photographers including (but not limited to); all photo shoots to be conducted before 10am, all photographers to register before coming (as to prevent multiple shoots on one day) and no shoots to be conducted too close to any of the rooms (private or hostel). We hope that these will prevent anyone feeling uncomfortable in future. As for reserved seating, as we are open to the public, this is something we cannot prevent. We do, however, have the entire row of seating directly in front of the private rooms allocated to in-house guests only to ensure they have priority. We also have ample space on our bean-bags and lawn. Getting more seating is something we will aim to look into in the near future. Thank you, The Gu Village team.
