Lovely place with nice rooms. We just visited last weekend, (5-7 April 2024). Room was nice, very clean, and just what the wife & I were looking for. Staff was friendly, and breakfast was good. We stayed out a little late Saturday night, so I went down about 30 minutes before breakfast was ending and the staff was very accommodating, bringing up 2 trays of that morning's breakfast to our room. And... when we left later that morning, we realized we had left jewelry behind, and when we called, they actually found it, and mailed it to us, so they were very honest too, which I appreciated. We have left behind things in other hotels and "no one saw anything", so we really appreciated that. They have sherry & port for sampling/tasting all evening, and have a nice tea time around 4 pm, with coffee, tea, and cookies. We really enjoyed our 2 nights, and will be back again. Walking distance to shopping (washington mall?), a number of restaurants, and we walked down to the beach/boardwalk, probably about 10 minutes away as well. Saturday afternoon we ended up walking into Carney's, across from the water, and stayed for hours due to happy hour specials & had a great time, for less :-) Live music, $5 crushes, mistakes may have been made.

We spent our minimoon at the Harrison, it was unbelievable. Very very clean and the breakfast every morning was custom ordered to fit our dietary needs. Conveniently located near all shops and the beach, I would recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone!

An awesome B&B
The Harrison is an awesome B&B. Wonderful staff, clean and stylish room, location is close to lots of Cape May favorites. Afternoon tea is a great touch and breakfast is top notch. We sat on the porch and read and relaxed a few times. Highly recommend!

The customer service was outstanding. All of the amenities and options were unreal...I believe that this was the first time we were offered "Tea Time" each day, and plenty of beverages and snacks. Very clean and comfortable place to stay

The property was well maintained. The staff was friendly. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast and cookies offered in the afternoon were both delicious. The location is within walking distance of attractions. Overall, we have an excellent stay.

The carpeting needs cleaned or replaced . My wife is short and some of the beds are extremely high. Maybe a step stool in each room would help the older short people get into the beds.

The Wonderful Harrison
The Harrison is a beautiful B&B located one block from the beach. The staff was friendly and was attentive to our various needs. The afternoon tea was a real highlight; so delicious.

The facility was quaint and charming. The breakfast was healthy and delicious. However, I barely saw staff members and had to remind them to put out the box of tea during teatime. They also did not put out plates during tea service.

We liked the property with a couple of issues. First - we were asked to move rooms after one night and the new room had a tub/shower combination. We thought it was dangerous - there was no grab bar to get in or out and it was very slippery. Second - it was quite expensive and we expected very nice rooms. There were small and not very updated, so a bit disappointed with the value for the price.

Breakfast and teatime was great. Location was great - close to the beach, shops and restaurants. The matress was too soft. Water pressure in shower was low - my room was on the 3rd floor.

Room was beautiful and appeared recently updated. Given the size of the room, it would have been nice if the bathroom was a little larger. The shower was tight and I'm not a large person. Breakfast was delicious.

Overall, our experience at this property was a bit underwhelming. Property location is centrally located and in a quiet part of town. Blocks from Washington Street mall and the beach. Room (the Meade Room) was clean and updated but was missing "objects of convenience". Little things like shelving in the shower for shampoo, soaps, etc. , along with a place for toiletries in bathroom, were left out. (Having to leave items on the bathroom floor, due to lack of shelves, should not be an option when paying this rate for rooms). Also, the "two level" bathroom resembled an add-on. Shower stall on same level as bedroom but step down in bathroom to toilet and sink. (Not convenient for anyone with limitations). Property is being run by younger individuals from other countries, which was a challenge to determine if anyone was actually in-charge. Temperature in room was very cold, as mentioned by others. Ironic point was that guests were mentioning cold room temperatures but staff has fireplace on. (Point of reference - August in NJ). Opportunity to use property provided beach chairs and bicycles was very nice. All in very good condition. Breakfast was very good, with you providing your menu selection the night before. Third floor pantry, place for bottle water, soda, coffee, was a nice convenience. As mentioned, a bit disappointing for the price, as our reference points have been much better for this price range.

The Harrison is centrally located to the beach, restaurants and shops. The room was comfy and clean. Breakfast on the porch was delicious and we enjoyed tea time there each afternoon also.

Positive • Staff is nice • Sitting/eating on the veranda is nice • Breakfast and afternoon tea were nice • Good location. Short walk to the shops and dining at Washington Street Mal and the beach • Complimentary tea, sodas and water • Communal microwave and refrigerator • Complimentary parking (about 8-minute walk) Negative • The room was small with only one chair (Even though the room is advertised as being suitable for a maximum of two people) • Very little space to put your belongings. Portion on the top of the dresser is taken up by a flat screen TV • One of the night stands has a slatted top with spaces in between the slats which makes it difficult to put small items on the night stand because the items keep falling through the cracks. • No space in the bathroom to put any items while you are using them (curling iron, blow dryer, shaver etc.) • One of the “clean” towels had two brown spots. I took the towel the staff. She was nice and gave me a new towel, but also told me the towel was clean but the spots did not come out when washed. What??? • Small shower stall. • Microwave is on top of the refrigerator which makes it difficult to use. I am 5’5 and had to stand on my toes to see into the microwave. • Flimsy ironing board •

I really enjoyed the location and the breakfast options, including the support of the staff for beach chairs and bicycle use. When I return again I will not take a room that has a room above it because of the older nature of the building, and the fact that you were here for traffic above your head depending on you’re above neighbor. Older floors tend to squeak. Otherwise, I really enjoyed the porch dining and porch sitting in the rocking chairs. I will definitely seek to stay there again.

Close to center of CapeMay very quiet good breakfast helpful staff. Website should have g8ven the floor for the rooms three floor house my wife uses a cane when necessary and the steps to and from the room was not fun. Also the room was very cold and we could not adjust the AC
