"We always stay here when we come to Garden City. We love it here. Always clean and accommodating. I will not give 5 stars though until they change their parking policy. They charge 10 dollars a day to park at a hotel you paid to stay at. They blame the neighboring hotel for this fee because they have paid parking there too, and people from their hotel were using Hampton Inns lot to not have to pay. There is an easy way to solve this instead of taking advantage of your guests. Just issue a parking pass for the hotel guests staying with you. No parking pass in your car then get towed. Solved. It’s ridiculous and greedy to charge for parking on top of the already high rates to stay there."

"I will begin by saying that the staff at this hotel are incredibly helpful. They were competent, friendly, professional. As my husband said , “they were as good as the staff at the Plaza or Trump Towers.” Secondly, the downstairs is amazingly beautiful. Thirdly, the rooms need a major overhaul. The showers don’t have very good water pressure at all. I took a cool shower. Mold in the bathroom sink. The hallway was not vacuumed once during the week of my trip. Honestly, the staff would be the reason I returned to this hotel. Breakfast was good, but very expensive."

"Staff was nice, hotel was clean but a bit outdated. No extras, breakfast was an extra charge, no coffee like other hotels have for free in the am. Nowhere to fill your water bottle, but the staff at the bar did fill it for me. Still nice, safe, clean place to stay. Relatively decent priced."

"Rooms better than most I've stayed at in the area. 1 problem was how they handle the bar area and getting food. The bar was full and I ordered food while standing and when the food came I sat in the seats out front from it. Area appeared closed and saw other people just go and sit so I sat at a table close to the bar and started eating my food. Then a woman comes out and says you have to leave this area is closed. I'm sitting there with my plate of food, bar is still full so I said I'll when I finish this. In a stern voice she said , you have to leave, you can't sit here! it is closed. Now mind you, there's other people sitting at some tables and some further back from me. So I repeated, I'll leave when I finish this, there are other people here. She again said no, you must leave. So I said ok, I'll move over to this area. I grabbed my plate and moved over....Every time she went by I got the daggers but dam, let me finish my meal! Up to that point I had high remarks for the place but this soured me."
