Top Caribbean Islands Hotel Reviews

Princess Grand Jamaica Resort - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"Beware of the extra charges because they’re a lot of them. Pay attention to which side your booking. The family side is not going to be comfortable for you if you don’t want to hear kids running around, jumping on the furniture.
Besides that gorgeous resort, clean, pleasant staff. 30 minutes from Negril and an hour from Montego Bay.
Next time I would stay on the Senses side adults only. Not sure if I would recommend for solo travelers like myself."

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana All-Inclusive Resort
6/10 Okay
"Good hotel but if doesn't much for entertainment, no night club, not bar on room, not icecream shop, no a place for young people"

Grand Hyatt Baha Mar
10/10 Excellent
"Overall experience was great! Food was good, atmosphere is great. Most of the staff was excellent….few grumpy ones, but they were few and far between.
Only a few small issues: The room was not clean by 5pm on 4 of the 6 days, so most days it never got cleaned bc we needed to start getting ready for our dinner reservations.
Also, allowing people to throw footballs and other balls all around the pools was a big issue for us. It is distracting and inconsiderate to other guests. My Gf was struck in the face w a football; thrown by a 17 year old boy playing catch with his Dad. They were throwing the ball from one end of the pool to the other. This could have easily broken her nose or injured someone else. This policy seems questionable at best and I was very surprised this was allowed at a resort of this caliber.
Other than that, I would highly recommend Baha Mar!"

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana an All-Inclusive Resort
8/10 Good
"The Verdict: Great Food, Tiered Experience
-This resort is excellent for high-paying members, but "regular" guests may find it restrictive and frustrating.
The Membership Divide
- Access: Most amenities, including the nicer, cleaner pools and the best beach sections, are reserved for members who pay $25k+
-Crowds:While member areas stayed empty, common areas were overpopulated. I had to secure pool chairs by 7 a.m. just to find a spot.
Dining & Service
- Food: Exceptional—likely the best quality I've had at an all-inclusive.
- Reservations:Only two restaurants require them; general availability was good.
Room Quality & Maintenance
- Cleanliness:Disappointing. The bathroom had **mold**, and towels weren't always fresh.
- AC Issues: Our unit made "machine gun" noises at night. Maintenance failed to fix it over two days, and they only offered a room move on our final night—a major hassle with a toddler.
Expedia Gold Membership
- Value: Essentially nonexistent. The resort refused to honor the **free room upgrade** (claiming no availability) or provide the promised **spa credit**.
Summary: Go for the food, but expect a "second-class" experience unless you are a full member.

Serenade All Suites - Adults Only Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Very please with this resort. The staff were friendly, report was very clean, many different food options. Rooms were clean "

Lopesan Costa Bávaro Resort Spa & Casino - All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"Facilities were decent. Rooms not completely cleaned. Staff was racist and rude at times. I had one incident with one of the bar tenders and management seemed very nonchalant about the complaint. I was told that Dominicans are just like black people so my claim wasn’t valid. Pools are very nice. Please be prepared for locals walking around soliciting services around the pool. "

Ocean Blue & Sand Beach Resort - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent in everything, every area, clean beach, staff very smily and helpful, a lot of fun, plan to be back in the summer."

Hotel Riu Palace Aquarelle - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"The staff at the swim up bar was live every day and all day. Drinks were great not watered down. It was a party all day every day."

Hotel Riu Republica - Adults only - All Inclusive
4/10 Poor
"The rooms were not very good; there weren’t enough outlets. Some weren ’t working, and it wasn’t very clean. We didn’t get full sheets. Only a blanket was provided. The food was terrible. I’ve been to an all-inclusive resort in the DR, and I understand buffet food. It’s not going to be the best, but some of the food was actually terrible, and I’m not a picky eater. The only good thing about the resort with the staff was very nice and the beach was beautiful. But I would choose a different resort 100%."
