"Breakfast closes too early at 9:00. Hotel signage is poor. Staff officious and unhelpful. We were denied a request for a one-hour late checkout, even though it was clear they could have easily granted it. The maids had more than enough rooms to clean and keep them busy. We were denied a ground floor room. Our room smelled mildewy and chemically. We were given a room overlooking the parking lot. Why not lake-side? Coffee machine in lobby didn’t work - no apology or explanation from front desk. Basically, every request was turned down. Staff was superficially friendly but actually did nothing to improve our brief stay. There’s more, but you get the idea."
