Its amazing La Casa , building probably from 17th century, it was renovated, but everything preserved!
Great breakfast , quite street in the heart of Cartagena, everything in a walking distance. I highly recommended!
Amazing location in Cartagena, close to the best in town by walking. We only used taxi for the visit to the Convent of La Popa. Our room was nice and big, very comfortable bed, modern bathroom, very attentive staff, amazing breakfast and well kept pool and surrounding areas. Highly recommended little hotel, a jewel in the heart of Cartagena.
Delightful, small "colonial style" hotel with absolutely wonderful staff. We started each day with a delicious breakfast, overlooking the pool on one side and a lovely atrium on the other. Close to a bustling plaza and many delightful restaurants. The staff couldn't have been more accomodating, especially Ronaldo, even showing us close by retaurants and the nearest bank machine. They made us feel like family. We would gladly stay here again!
Older building that has the charm you would expect. Service is exceptional. However, things like sticky doors, or shower door that does not close 100% accompany the charm. Pressure in shower is near a firehouse which I enjoyed.
I loved the room we stayed spaceful enough for 2 people with carryons and full size luggage. Air conditioner is wonderful and cold. The grounds of the casa is beautiful and well kept and clean. Pool is beautiful and clean as well as we used it several days.. Breakfast was delicious. I would recommend staying there.
Beautiful property and excellent location! Just a few steps to excellent restaurants and central for walking to everything in the walled city. Staff was always helpful and breakfast of fruit and arepa filled us as we walked the town.
Our stay was fantastic. Excellent location, the service was 10/10. It gives you the opportunity to experience staying at a colonial home with all the comfort you need at and excellent price. If we come back to Cartagena we will stay here for sure!
Like living in a home, boutique hotel.
Rooms are simple but in the style of old Cartagena. House is Colonial, but restored in the style. Not much staff, but very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast at one large table, great for exchanging experiences and recommendations.
Great deal for the price.

Wonderful location, very nice staff, excellent breakfast. Very clean. Swimming pool and hot tub were a plus in the hot humid climate of Cartagena.

Whenever I come to Cartegena, I always stay at this property. I would’ve stayed longer, but they were booked for the duration of my trip so I went with another Hotel for the second leg of my trip. What I love hotel about this property is how gorgeous it is and how it is attentively pleasing. The breakfast is really good and it’s homemade the people that tend to you are so sweet and professional. Seeing as though I have stayed at this property multiple times I am well adjusted to the area around the fine dining is really close literally like a one minute walk away on this side of the city. It’s Cleaner and quieter and the nicer Hotels are on this end, I do love the water pressure in the shower and how hot the water gets the most and of course, sitting by the pool is lovely too. You get to hear the birds in the morning… if you like Firm mattresses this is definitely the place for you. I would prefer a more softer mattress, I feel that this property could be updated a bit like some of the furniture needs to be replaced. I stay in the same room every time I come there so I already know how to handle Some of the delicate pieces that are in the room, but perhaps the lamps can be replaced and the bedding could be softer and more durable and maybe a few painting upgrades and perhaps installing a Google TV so that travelers can watch more than just the local channels in Spanish other than that-I have nothing but glowing reviews about a place that I love staying at.
The staff was the only good thing about the place. The boutique was lacking basic maintenance. The beds were hard as a rock. There was loud music playing from the Hilton hotel next door till 10:30 pm every night. I wouldn’t recommend it and I will never book with Orbitz again after this fiasco. I’m leaving with back and neck pain. Sad.
Best “hotel” you can imagine. It’s a real colonial villa with cloisters and a pool. Outstanding. I stayed at several hotels in Cartagena and this one is like a dream. Ron made of feel like we were staying at the Ritz Carlton. Location is the best. Quiet but near the things you want. Away from the vendors. The pictures are real. It is an amazing place.
This review does not reflect Casa Pierre directly, because my reservation was moved at the last minute by Reve Investments—the management company that oversees both Casa Pierre (CP) and Upper Hotel. This change was made **without my consent**. I was told the room at Casa Pierre had flooded due to rain; however, after seeing both properties, it is clear that Casa Pierre is of significantly higher quality.
The most serious concern is that I was **robbed inside my hotel room at Upper Hotel after being drugged**. I lost consciousness for approximately 36 hours. During that entire time, **no staff member checked on me**, even though I was unresponsive. When the police were eventually called on Sunday, they did **not** take a report and instead told me to find my own way to the station—even though I was disoriented, dizzy, and severely affected.
The hotel staff did not offer or arrange any medical assistance; I was shaking thou they asked if I needed to go to hospital. Gibram- the only guy who seemed to care offered me a line to communicate with my sis in US. Afterwards, I returned to Casa Pierre to verify the flooding claim, and both staff and guests told me they had seen **no evidence of any flooding**. This raised even more concerns about why my reservation was moved. Given the circumstances, I filed a formal report with U.S. authorities upon returning home. Based on my experience I strongly advise travelers to be cautious of any hotel that relocates you to another property.
