The Hotel Almirante is an excellent place to stay in Cartegena. Located in the heart of the bubbling Bocagrande area, the Hotel Almirante is perfectly situated near restaurants, shops, 24-hour grocery stores, and right across from the beach. If you are a walker, the Hotel is a 5K stroll from the Walled City. The amenities in the Hotel were plentiful and convenient. It offers three eateries, a rooftop swimming pool, meeting and conference spaces, a sports bar, a gym, hot tub, and the nicest staff members in the area. I would definitely stay at the Hotel Almirante again and I certainly recommend it.

Beautiful oceanfront hotel, just in the hearth of Bocagrande . We really enjoyed our stay, the staff was very friendly , especially Rafael. Everything was neat, clean, they pool and jacuzzi were really nice. From the 15th floor you can almost see the city… Thank you guys

Probably one of the better looking hotels in the Bocagrande area. The staff was great especially checking in and out. I wish the room was cleaner. There was trash under the couch from the previous guest. The fridge was not stocked and the tiles had grime in the cracks. The view was incredible. Opt for a suit if available. As far as the amenities, we tried to go to the rooftop one night and were turned away being told it was closed with no further explanation. We did not utilize the pool or any other areas as the main focus of the vacation was beach time and exploring the walled city. Be aware that the cost of breakfast is different than what’s presented online. Unlike other hotels, you pay after each meal rather than at the end of the reservation. Beach access was available and only having to avoid minor construction. Over all would recommend.

This hotel was a true dream! Down to the staff and to the location was absolutely perfect. It was easy to get to the staff was very helpful and they maintained the room in the best way ever! The location again was perfect one block away from the local grocery store and right across the street from some great restaurants where I was able to have breakfast and dinner and lunch at one place and went there about three times. The staff was also friendly as I went there to celebrate a birthday and the day of without even knowing they put a birthday card and a cake in the room, which was very sweet. If I ever come back to Cartagena, I will be staying at this location every single time.

The staff were amazing. My original reservation did not meet my expectations and they were accommodating, allowing me to upgrade to an oceanfront suite which exceeded expectations. The location is great. Many things are within walking distance. I utilized the salon twice during my stay, they were just as wonderful. I originally stayed as part of a big group and the last few days as a solo traveler. Overall, extremely happy with my stay, I would stay here again.
