This is a lovely hotel very well situated in the walked historic part of cartagena. Very nice rooms with an excellent bed, linens and spacious bathrooms. It has a small pool to relax in after walking the town and two jacuzzi tubs that you can reserved. The staff was very accommodating and remembered us when we came back for a second stay.

The hotel is in a great location and a charming colonial building. Service and food are good. The so-called "superior" rooms, though, are thoroughly unpleasant: they are interior rooms that receive no natural light, so they feel claustrophobic, and the bathroom is tiny. Don't book those - go for a "premium" room, which has better light.

Great hotel in a great location. The hotel was beautiful and really clean. Room was an effective use of space and the shower in the bathroom was amazing. Absolutely loved our stay at Casona del Porvenir! The Premium Room was spacious, beautifully designed with loft-style architecture, automatic blinds, and elegant artwork.
