"The washroom was not really clean. We could not throw our toilet paper in the toilet due to the host rule. Also, the AC didn’t work and the bed pillows were so hard to lay on. "Very spacious home that’s close enough to the beach to walk (the way back would be all up hill), but you’re better off takin an Uber for $2-3 Euros each way. The home is immaculately maintained and has everything you could need to include English TV channels. Only downside and it’s small is, the shower is great, but it’s hard to keep the water inside because the shower pressure causes the shower head to rise up spraying water out. "As soon as you approach from outside it is an immediate turn off. Scruffy front entrance and door which needs to be painted, the location is appalling we had to wait for the keys to activate luckily the maintenance man was there carrying out repairs. After entering into the shared accommodation communal area then into the designated room only to find that it really needs a good refresh, flooring worn out, bathroom floor is painted finish which is worn out, the decoration in the room needs...

"Lovely room with a balcony overlooking the marina. You're looking through the castle's crenelations, because you are in an old fort. Bathroom lighting is a bit much, but it's clean. The location could not be better. The staff were universally competent and friendly, eager to please. There is quite a large lobby with easy chairs, chess tables, books, and a bar that also serves food. Again, staff were excellent. Breakfast was first class. In short a well-run, well-staffed, very pretty hotel in a perfect location. Note: There is another Pestana hotel in Cascais which is very definitely not this one. "

Exceptional Stay – Wish We Had Stayed Longer

"We stayed for one night on our way from Porto to Lisbon and immediately wished we had booked more. The hotel is elegant and luxurious, with a spacious suite overlooking the sea. The location is perfect – a short walk to the promenade and marina restaurants. Breakfast was rich and tasty, and the staff was welcoming and professional. We’ll definitely come back!"
