Hotel Riu Palace Las Americas - Adults Only- All Inclusive

"We went to this resort last summer after realizing they don't have a sargassum/seaweed issue in the summer like many Caribbean resorts. We liked it so much, we immediately knew we would go back this year. We added an extra night to this summer's trip and loved it even more! It is CLEAN. The staff is AMAZING -- they genuinely seem to care, they work so hard, they are kind, and they are FUNNY! Language barriers were not a problem. We also really liked that several of them told us they'd worked there for decades and were treated well. That was good to hear! The beach and water are beautiful. The sand is clean and soft as could be! There are three pools -- two large (one quieter and one party pool with activities, music, and a swim-up bar, and one small (a little warmer, but is not a hot tub). We woke up early to swim at sunrise and stayed in the water long past sunset. The rooms are large and clean. (Bring a small fan though!) The food, particularly the buffet, is the best we've had an any all-inclusive. However, we have never bothered to go to the specialty restaraunts. We enjoyed the buffet so much that we never strayed. We really like that it's open until 10pm so we can swim at night and not rush to dinner. Be warned that this is NOT a party resort. It is quiet, fairly calm, and simple. While they offer some pool activities, beach vollyeball, and nightly shows, it is a SMALL resort without a lot of bells and whistles. We happen to like it that way!"

"Great place and really beautiful, one of the nicest resorts I have stayed at. Great for families and lots of things to do and see. Because the beach is a small gulf the sea water was great and cristal clear to go in and enjoy. This is a beautiful place!!"
